Yeah.. so very true..
Another good author for describing things is Anne Rice.. she's an amazing author. And also, The Vampire Chronicles are interesting to catch things in relation to Christianity. Take the Vampire Chronicle.. the fifth one I think.. Memnoch the Devil.. completely AMAZING novel.

you guys should read "God's generals" or anything by Bill Johnson... you should be able to get either off amazon.com God's generals is a really awesome and amazing book. talks about the past revivals and revivalists, and just the amazing things God's done even hundreds of years ago. with Bill Johnson's stuff though, you'd probably need to read his books in order. but i think he only has about 2 or 3 so far. he's a really awesome man of God, definitely a vital part of the body of Christ we're living in today. Yes Bill Johnson has some good stuff out there. I went on a missions trip with Global Awakening to Brazil and he preached there for about 4 hours every day. it was amazing. its almost like hes a modern Watchman Nee. if you haven't read any of Nee's stuff it's definitely something you have to look into. he was martyred i think in the 1970's for preaching the Gospel in China (hes Chinese) but the revelation in what he was talking about is astounding. i highly recommend his book "The Normal Christian Life" its one of my favorites.

since were talking about books on this thread by now... let me recommend you some you might find very intresting...
Dante - "The Divine Comedy"... its maybe the most beautiful poetry book EVER written... absolutely recommended... Dante was an absolute genius... it's about a sinner to whom God gave a chance to get his life back on the right track... so he sends him on a journey to Hell and Heaven to see what will await him on either path he chooses to follow...... its just brilliant...
William Blake - "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell"... im not sure many of you will like this.... i think its flabbergasting... i read it recently and i'm sure it will influence me at some points...
anything you can find by Rainer Rilke.... he was an amazing poet and he has lots of works about religion and all that...
not so much about religion, but still a brilliant masterpiece - "Four Quartets" by T.S. Eliot, which is one of my favorite poets.... its so beautiful....

If you skipped the BIO page here is a breif explanation of the name; "Becoming The Archetype". According to Genesis 1:26, "God said, ‘Let us make man in our image'". Since Jesus was the only person to ever live a sinless life, He is the ultimate archetype (or original design) of humanity. As a result, the life of a Christ follower is all about being conformed to the image of God or in other words, "Becoming The Archetype". That's incoherent. Adam and Eve are allegedly the original design of humans (although they never existed), made in God's image. They were a failure, showing just how bad God is at designing things and planning things through. God made Jesus (who might not have ever existed either) as an incarnation of himself (a god with magic powers), to whose standards no one could ever possibly reach (because humans are designed so inadequately), so there's no way Jesus could be the original design for humanity. All that said, anyone alive today could give Adam and Eve (if they existed, which they didn't) or Jesus (if he existed), a tutorial on how the universe is and how to live a good, moral life.
