May 14 is my birthday... but i'll most likely be in VA at that point... sad day... but ironically... I will be in florida on May 25, because I'm staffing the Daytona Beach summer project this year! If it were only a few days later... DOH!

I would love to go to Cornerstone. I'm going to try really hard to make it this year. Last year I was in China on a missions trip, so Cornerstone was a little bit impracticle. This year, the only real struggle will be parental permission. It's ironic, but they aren't too keen on me going to Cornerstone with some friends, yet they let me go to China with a group of strangers!!! O well. If they say no, so be it. I'll just have to keep waiting. But it sure would be nice to go.... God bless! ~EvadingShadows

they really shouldnt worry too much.
I went the first year in 2002...I just graduated from high school two months before and I went with my friend's church. My parents shouldve feared for my life...all the "male leaders" were seriously the funniest dudes Ive hung out with.Scary, big tattooed dudes that love Jesus...and we also hid in between the porta potties and threw water balloons at people. The one leader...seriously...acted like he was 10 yrs old.I have a picture of him wearing a snow suit that was like 10 sizes too small that he wore to some show. One night at like 3am...we went and saw some weird synth Goth band together.Yeah we stuck out.
Honestly. You couldnt choose a safer place to be.
Theres all these youth groups and churches there, and the crazy JPUSA people are nazis about everything..so youre really safe.
I went in 2003 with an xbf of mine (i highly advise against that EVER),and then this past summer with a few friends.
And I just filed my taxes today and Im getting 526.00 bucks back so Im going (YAY)
If theres any info I can provide...email your parents (ill do it...haha),this really is an awesome experience for you to meet so many different types of people from the body of Christ and be exposed to so many bands and just interesting people.Youll find you wont agree with some people and say their merch tables but being able to rationally converse with someone on a different level than you from like South Dakota or something is awesome.
And seriously its like one big giant summer camp.

...I want to go but I ain't got a ride or the money...I'll start saving up for next year. they actually have a "ride board" so next summer if you need a ride...one can easily be found. and as far as money goes...theres way to get around that too But yeah saving up is a good idea...thats what im still gonna do even tho i have some odd 300 bucks to use already.
