i'm just messing with you. ACB had a ton of energy and got the crowd into it, but BTA was flawless in their playing.

I wasn't trying to make anyone here mad at all. but As Cities Burn is just so amazing. the only thing BtA has better, would be drums. as far as guitar, Cody could keep up with seth and the other guys..easily.

I don't like As Cities Burn, they're just annoying. (IMO)
I don't think Breto should be banned... I mean, he's getting a rebel insignia tatoo for goodness sake!!

i missed it! *sobs* i never go by myself! i asked like 5 diff ppl but my bff was out of town...... ricky had to go on a ski trip with his dad, and ryan had commited to going with some of his friends to who knows where! so i missed them....... thier music will live on! i will cherish thier cd forever and ever! This post bugs me. You do realize they aren't breaking up right? They're still gonna be around, in fact they're going to be writing/redcording for a new album soon.

As Cities Burn has impacted so many lives, they are just unbelievably amazing. And if you don't think Cody could keep up, you haven't listened to the cd. because his guiatrs are so intricate and great. and the screams, i mean, such raw talent there.

first of all, both bands are in very different genres. according to their purevolume pages ACB is: Post Hardcore / Hardcore / Rock and BTA is Metal / Hardcore / Progressive. i hope we can all agree they are very different genres. anyways, i don't know much about guitars and such so i'm not going to argue there. but the screams i can compare. TJ's vocals sound almost like his voice is cracking half the time (took me a while to get used to it). the other guy has some pretty good screams, but nothing to drool over. Wisdom on the other hand... well, his death metal scream is amazing. his high backup scream is amazing. and his scream the majority of the time is straight up amazing. the only thing ACB might have on BTA is that they really seem to poor out their hearts into the their music. their live performence is very intense and i won't forget it any time soon. as for BTA, they had an amazing show in a very different way. their intensity doesn't come from moving around on stage, but rather some crazy windmilling and playing that sounds like it came straight from the record. bottom line: both great bands. but also different types of shows.

Wisdom has such a sweet range in his vocal styles and he does play some complex stuff (as MetalMan said) and if you see BTA live with Alex, you'll see how awesome the guitar solos are. And it's not just about how fast or intricate people can play that makes it interesting to listen to, it's the variety, the "catchiness," and all that kind of stuff... So I'd rather listen to/watch BTA over ACB anyday.
Yeah... I just listened to parts from all three of the songs on their purevolume and they all sound the same. They different kinds of vocal styles and better vocals (I just can't stand them), different effects on their guitars at times (or no effects) But yeah, BTA and ACB are different styles, so you can't really compare them (like radar said)

I strongly disagree with the screaming. It's much easier to simply stretch your voice than it is to growl like Wisdom can. Which, I love ACB and I love their vox, but it's just that growling is harder than stretching your voice.
