If you dont listen to alot of doom in general, or funeral doom, then it'd be a tough listen.

Yes and no. I've had a few friends who don't listen to doom (or really metal at all) and really enjoyed Ahab. That being said, it's definitely not for everyone.
Speaking of doom, both Ekklesiast's albums arrived and are really quite good, though I like "Cold" a little more.

Blood In The Gears- The Showdown
Very groovy this time around! I like Graveyard Of Empires a lot. The solo in that song is soooo sick and reminds me of some Megadeth solos.

Cynic - "Re-Traced" - which is really quite good Angra - "Aqua" - kinda sucks, but I didn't have too high expectations based off the previous two albums of theirs; oh well I just need to accept that their glory days are behind them...

I liked a couple tracks off Aqua, but its nothing mind blowing, thats for sure.
I recently purchased Jex Thoth's s/t album online, hopefully it'll come in the mail soon.
I also purchased Ishahn's After

I've only listened to it once through - I should give it another try. Some of it's not bad, just nowhere near "Angels Cry" or "Holy Land." I'm curious how the new Shaman is though.
Just ordered Cynic - "Traced in Air" shirt and pre-ordered the new My Silent Wake album. I guess Cynic is working on a new album which is exciting. I really like the direction they've been going with "TiA" and their "Re-Traced" ep.
EDIT: the new Shaman album arrived and I like it MUCH better than the new Angra. It's definitely better than their last album (which wasn't all that bad) as well, though still not as good as the first two albums of their's with the original line-up.
