I don't know what I am. I'll vote for whoever is along the same lines as me.

In the States I consider myself moderate. Not too long ago, I would have been called conservative, as it was the general desire of the typical conservative to weaken the influence of the government and limit its power and extent, just as is the case for you Jupiter. But it now seems that the "conservative" way has been rather strengthening the role and influence of the government. I've always been pretty conservative when it comes to economics though.
Honestly, I've never really liked political labels. I say instead that I'm a conservative economist (laissez-faire, regulation only where necessary, tax breaks are good in general) and that I'm more of a pragmatic politician than idealistic (I want what will work best now and still point us in the right direction for the future, not necessarily what should be ideally).
As far as describing US politics with labels though, I've always found the phrase "liberals have a heart, while conservatives have a brain" rather funny and convenient to use as a quick and easy method of stereotyping the typical party lines.

Whose side are you on, would be correct. I'm not sure if that can be changed, I'm not going to try but I do acknowledge the error.
A phrase like that which I've always enjoyed is "I want to keep liberals out of my wallet and conservatives out of my bedroom."
American politics seems to me a strange duck. I wouldn't consider your Republican Party very conservative, with all of their insane spending and growing government everywhere. But they are billed that way.
I realize that labels like these are by no means absolute, but they are fun and somewhat useful. Even though I am a conservative, most issues that "social conservatives" care about, are in my eyes government over stepping their role and wasting a ton of money.

Centre. I take differant sides on differant issues to such a degree that I couldn't be associated with any. I will always think of my values as conservative, but this isn't exactly political accross the board. I will always side against communism.

I am conservative because I feel the overall ideals behind conservatism aline closest with the Bible. I know ideals are different than actions, but regarding both economical and social issues, conservatism is my choice. Be responsible, earn your own money, don't slaughter your mistake (abortion) while spending millions on saving sea kittens (Peta...Oh Peta.....). Dunno if that made sense, but it is what it is.
I do however find it really interesting that in the early early AD church, to "stay alive" the members partook in communism without calling it communism... They would sell everything and put al their money into the one particular church. It didn't last, haha. Any thoughts on this?

Yes, it sucks modern churches don't work like that, well, those were my thoughts . As for politics, with the last elections in the Netherlands I took some test, and 1. was the most socialist, almost communist party, whereas 2. was the most conservative party we have. So, I guess economically and for state matters I have a strong socialistic ideal, whereas for ethics I am apparently extremely consevative.

I am very interested in this...I have seen socialism destroy work ethic and hurt economies, rather that provide good. No system is perfect, but as of yet, strong capitalism seems to bring the most prosperity in a for the most part fair manner. But enough of my talk. My question is, why is it that you favor socialistic policy, in terms of economics?
