So I searched for over 20 pages and didn't see any Unexpect thread and of course the search function turned up nothing. But for those not on their email list: April 23, 2009
As Alexander the Great once declared : "We're done recording the drums !" ...or did he ? Can't say I was really listening at the time... Anyways...we do...and we'll jump next with the guitars and monstrous bass. In the meantime, you can check out the Progressive Nation Tour dates as they'll be updated from time to time with novelties... 2 other shows will be offered in the province of Quebec in June. Rouyn-Noranda and St-Lazare will probably be the last shows before the next album is released.

I already knew they were making a new album, but I didn't trust their productivity, so it's good to hear they are coming along.

Gosh, is no one else subscribed to their emailing list? They've been working on this album for a while [and haven't been secretive about it]!

super-nice dudes, really loved their show... but i couldn't get into the recording. all the elements are there but they never clicked into place in my headspace.
but they're so ridiculously talented that i keep tabs on them anyway.

I'm envious that you got to see them live! They are very friendly though (at least over email!). I would suggest listening to the songs on their myspace/whatever a bit more because if you don't "know" the song well, it sounds like a bunch of cluttered insanity (which it is!). But after you become fairly familiar with their songs, everything begins to flow. I do realize that they're certainly not for everyone and most definitely an acquired taste!

I saw them live, it was awe inspiring to say the least.

I saw them live when they toured with Nile
They totally dress/look like a nu-metal band, but they are a sonic hurricane of ideas

Kerrick, I actually bought their most recent full-length. I've only listened to it twice but something about the production really jars me...

I'm glad someone clarified that for me. I was very confused for a little while.
