Alcest and Les Discrets are releasing a double-split album (how does that work?). You can preorder it (as I did) here: www.prophecy.cd/I already posted this in the last purchases section but figured it wouldn't hurt to do so here as well!

Sorry for the double post... Alcest and Les Discrets both have albums to be released late March. Check out the beautiful album covers (which Fursey of Les Discrets did): Alcest - "Écailles de lune" Les Discrets - "Septembre et ses dernières Pensées" You can also check out track-listings and such at their myspaces: www.myspace.com/alcestmusicwww.myspace.com/lesdiscrets

Me too! I just pre-ordered both albums. I REALLY want the Les Discrets super package with the extra dvd, etc. but $55 is just too much... Got the regular digi-pak version of that and the regular cd version of Alcest.

Sorry for the double post... It doesn't really count as a double post if it's been so long since the last post.

Shiv's favorite hipster post-black metal band Altar of Plagues released a new album entitled "Mammal." Wonder if it's any good. I'm sure WitTR are still better.

Sorry for the double post... It doesn't really count as a double post if it's been so long since the last post. I'm gonna assume it's still cool to double post if it's been a little while since I last posted here... But back on topic, in hipster black metal news, Alcest is working on a new album. Main guy Fursey from Les Discrets seems to like it quite a bit, according to facebook haha. Alcest's re-release of "Le Secret" has been getting semi-regular playtime on my iTunes - pretty good stuff if you ask me. Looking forward to seeing them in October!

Is it going to be similar to the latest Alcest? I only liked their 1st album.

I think Fursey said something about it being a perfect blend of the two or something to that effect.

Wolves in the Throne Room are coming out with their new album next month called "Celestial Lineage." From the reviews online, it sounds like it's going to be a great record!

The new Wolves is mighty good indeed. Definitely their most diverse album to date.
