I'd been waiting for official confirmation from the band before I'd post on the subject: From Jason's facebook feed: Full interview with Seth here: www.indievisionmusic.com/2011/11/28/becoming-the-archetype/Thoughts/opinions anyone? Having seen the new BTA lineup twice recently, it adds a new energy the band with Chris being able to run around a bit more than Jason could due to not having to concentrate on bass at the same time! Vocally, Chris is different to Wisdom's style - it's more of a metalcore scream than Jason's death growls, but this is a good thing - if they'd replaced him with another death-growling, bass playing frontman, the comparisons would have never ceased. Anyway, it means a new era in terms of the band, and hopefully some fresh ideas for the new album, whenever that may be.

Oh dang! I had not heard this. Well I haven't heard the new singer yet but I'm a bit concerned if he's more "metalcore" as I'm definitely not a fan of that genre... I hope they keep their death metal sound but as Davo said, I'm hopeful too for great fresh new ideas (not that keeping things fresh and new has ever been an issue for them)! Thanks for posting this Davo.

i've just now heard the news and wow, that came to me hard. i did see Chris when i saw BTA live for the first time in Modesto and his vocals were all right. however i never spoke to him since i thought he was just covering for the time being and honestly i was kinda dissapointed to see that not all the official members were there. what sucks more was that i was really looking forward to finally seeing all the members and finally having my goal reached of them signing Ethan (my coyote skull) Either way, i still do have mixed feelings about Jason's leaving but i do understand and respect his reasons why. I know God has a better purpose for him with the job he has now and I am looking forward to finally seeing his first child.

The first I knew of it was at Nordic Fest when Jason wasn't there. Didn't get much of a chance to talk to Seth about it as there were loads of people around, but they played my town two nights afterwards and I had a lot more time to talk to him then.

drummer and bassist will be announced soon. you can read it on their facebook info I'm looking forward to the christmas single with Chris on the mic in studioform ... hopefully I won't miss the deep growls that much @the metalcore sound: I wouldn't paint all the doors black until we've heard anything new from them ... that means the christmas single and something new from a coming new album.

haha, you can download the single already and Chris' vocals are sounding awesome. If Daniel wouldn't have said to me that Chris is doing vocals on the cover I wouldn't have noticed anything. Nice. Ok there is little difference .. but just sooo little. I would say you will be satisfied Josh

One thing I do like is the ambiance of the clean choral singing.
