Dear. Sweet. God. EDIT: I guess that means Mantric is done? Their facebook is active. I'm glad to hear Bxtol is done.

I know this is heresy... but Extol is one band I tried to get into and just never could... Perhaps I should give 'em another chance.

Well I honestly like Blueprint more than all of their other material. Then again, I loved Mantric. Benea Reach is also incredible. They're one of those bands that takes a list of impressive bands as influences and actually manages to cook up something halfway impressive. They have a djent sound backed up by serious chops and atmospheric composition. Also, Ilkka can pitch his screams like Devin Townsend. But a quick list of Extol's related projects is enough to make anybody's head spin: Lengsel, Benea Reach, Silver, Mantric, Ganglion, Absurd2, and Bolivar. Nuts. Pretty much the same 12 musicians who swapped places.

Add Schaliach to the list! I really like Lengsel a lot too. Never got into the other bands listed, but I may have to re-check them out as it's been a while. Dang, so many bands... so little money...

I know this is heresy... but Extol is one band I tried to get into and just never could... Perhaps I should give 'em another chance. "Undeceived" is probably one of the best melodic death metal albums I've ever heard, and "Synergy" is pseudo-Believer. But to each his own...

Synergy was the first Extol album I bought. But Undeceived might be my favorite, it's been too long since I've listened to either. This is some pretty cool news though. Can't wait to hear some new stuff from them.
