What it says on the tin.
What are you listening to now that you weren't the last time you were in the boards?
Like everyone else in the world, I've become interested in many of the popular indie/alternative bands that are big these days. Naked and Famous, Paper Route, Walk The Moon, etc.
Oh, and I've finally discovered a taste for Devin Townsend.
You?

^I love me some Wovenhand and The 3rd And The Mortal! Wovenhand is playing nearby in a couple weeks; I will definitely be going. I've seen them live twice before and they're excellent. (Is Cynic no more? Heresy I know, but I stopped listening to them... just not really my style anymore.)
I've been listening to a lot of My Silent Wake, Vials Of Wrath, Wovenhand, Alcest, Musk Ox, Virgin Black, and of course Iron Maiden.

Did you miss the very public break up of Cynic on Facebook last week? Talk about drama!

Right on. Yeah great stuff, it's must that my tastes have changed and I found myself always hitting the "skip" button when their stuff came on.

I listen to quite a lot of alternative kind of stuff like Amanda Palmer/Dresden Dolls, Ben Folds, Arcade Fire, still really into mewithoutYou, also metal wise Opeth, Orphaned Land. And Nine Inch Nails. That soothes me on my commute.

I'm trying to branch out as much as possible these days. I developed a very strong dislike for quirky indie pop garbage and have actually gotten back into metal quite a bit. I like 90's indie rock, Midwest emo, post-rock, slowcore, dream pop/shoegaze, 60's psychedelic, 70's progressive rock, industrial metal, black metal, funeral doom metal, sludge/post-metal, non-hipster folk, experimental hip-hop, and ambient.

Been getting into more electronic-based stuff recently. Really enjoying Aphex Twin's latest album, Syro.

As far as metal goes, the most recent Extol album is the one I'm still spinning the most these days.
