When i first heard your name i knew it instantly, because i took a class called the Literary Hero, in which we studied classic archetypes, and since i go to a christian highschool our term paper was on how Christ fit the "Ultimate Hero" according to archetypes. Unusual birth, quest, sacrafice, etc. I was glad i got to use some info that i thought was pretty useless I don't go to a christian school, but last week, in English class, we learned about archetypes. it was pretty cool.

I learned about sentence structures again in English this week...can't wait 'till we start reading a book, which I don't enjoy too much either. I like music class ...too bad I'm not in it at all this year. Next year, I will. Whoa, I am totally off the topic....yay.

Last year in English class I went through a phase where I would use 'archetypical' at least once in every paper.

you guys should read "God's generals" or anything by Bill Johnson... you should be able to get either off amazon.com
God's generals is a really awesome and amazing book. talks about the past revivals and revivalists, and just the amazing things God's done even hundreds of years ago.
with Bill Johnson's stuff though, you'd probably need to read his books in order. but i think he only has about 2 or 3 so far. he's a really awesome man of God, definately a vital part of the body of christ we're living in today.

After reading Systematic Theology by Leo Garret I have found that the Bible does not present the doctrine of the Trinity identical in each Testament. In the New Testament, the Three-in-Oneness of God is clearly taught, but the Old Testament holds markers that refer to the distinction of the members of the Godhead. Each member of the Trinity has unique attributes, but all have the same power. God as Father denotes a relational attributes of leader, provider, and protector for the believer. Salvation provided through God the Son imputes the relational title of brother along with the title of savior, king, and Lord into the heart of recipients who do the Father’s will. Christ obeys and completes the will of God the Father, without rebellion, by fulfilling the prophecy of the scriptures of the Old Testament. The Holy Spirit’s relationship to believers was described by Jesus Christ as “another counselor.” The Holy Spirit has also been seen as the conveyer of the love between the Father and the Son. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are never separated when the Holy Spirit is acting. The action taken by God the Holy Spirit includes God the Father and God the Son. The members of the Trinity are involved in the actions of the others, and yet each member is distinct. A concrete view of the Trinity as God has not always been held. The Trinitarian view of God has been diluted, at times, by scholars attempting to make Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit less than God. A portion of the debate about the members of the Trinity centers on the translation of the word, “Person,” in Greek and Latin. The Unitarian, Modalistic, and Tritheistic views stray from the doctrine of the Trinity. The views present a distorted theology of the Trinity and do not accept the Godhead to be Three-in-One. Man’s attempt to coral the Trinity into a tactile or logical picture have been attempted using analogies. Early and modern theologians put forth their best analogies to tell the colorblind about the beauty that is the Trinity. Analogies are employed to describe the Trinity, but all fall short of catching or even touching the full description of the Trinity. The Trinity does not reduce the power of God because the Trinity is God.

I have a stack of books that one day I will get to. I would love to read Ragamuffin Gospel again and this time, more in depth. Wounded Spirit by Frank Peretti was a very helpful book for me. Purpose Driven Life has been so eye opening to me so far. My wife reads a ton of stuff. Ted Dekker is one author that comes to mind. I think Ted Dekker is an amazing author.

If you skipped the BIO page here is a breif explanation of the name; "Becoming The Archetype". According to Genesis 1:26, "God said, ‘Let us make man in our image'". Since Jesus was the only person to ever live a sinless life, He is the ultimate archetype (or original design) of humanity. As a result, the life of a Christ follower is all about being conformed to the image of God or in other words, "Becoming The Archetype". that's neat.

Yo guys I have written a study for my finance who was/is in a Christian cult called the INC. They like other unbiblical organizations deny the Deity of Jesus Christ and the Trinity. If anyone has any questions or issues with the Trinity hopefully this will give you a full Biblical account of the plurality of God. www.dk777.com/In Christ Diekrupt (Jason)

I know this thread is old, but I'd just like to express how refreshing it is to see a band that might actually be theologically literate.
