October is host of metal mayhem for me this year:
October 1st: Becoming the Archetype October 3rd: Meshuggah October 4th: Meshuggah October 5th: A Life Once Lost/ZAO October 13th: Project 86 (depends if I like the new album) October 27th: Slipknot October 31st: Opeth
This is like a years worth of shows for me. I love it, out of all those bands, I have only seen three of them (BTA, P86 and Zao), so I excited to see some other acts.

Nice....
Most people will probably criticize you for the Slipknot one, but I commend you (at least to an extent). Slipknot has incredible talent, it's just a shame that the lyrics are a waste (at least that's what I think).

Yeah, the lyrics from the first two albums really aren't that uplifting, but it's nice to have Iowa around to jusy blow some steam when things are a little rough. The thing is, I've heard people who hate their music mark Slipknot as one of the most entertaining live acts. so I figured I should see them while they are playing a "smaller" venue.

Your month "relatively" owns my month Were I able to go see every show that came my way then I'd be as good if not better than you.

nah, I doubt it. The two Meshuggah shows pretty much make the month that much better than whatever metalcore show you tried measuring up to it.

You know, of all the secular metal bands out there, I really think Opeth has got to be the most progressive and inventive bands out there. Pretty good stuff. Sorry Meshuggah fans. Their good too, but Opeth is heads and shoulders....
