Blast! Cursed Kingston and your non-scene!
Anyway... I'd go if it was in my town but I'm not really that interested in those bands so I won't make the trek home.

Philly's about an hour or two away, I think that's a little too far.

My favorite unsigned band might be playing with these guys for the Detroit show. Heck yes I'm going.

I'd definitely go to the Chicago show, but none of my friends are into any of those bands really as much as I am, so I wouldn't have a way to get there.

My favorite unsigned band might be playing with these guys for the Detroit show. Heck yes I'm going. I'll be at that show too, in fact I already got my ticket! It's at Harpo's though I was hoping it'd be at Clutch Cargo's cuz I know that venue better but it'll still be a great show. Both Trivium and In Flames put on great sets at Ozzfest.

It's a lot more Nu Metal, than their old stuff.

I'd definitely love to see Zao...Trivium is pretty good, and I wouldn't mind seeing In Flames.

It's a lot more Nu Metal, than their old stuff. I wouldn't call their new stuff "nu-metal" because generally when you say nu-metal I'm thinking of bands like: Korn, System of a Down, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Disturbed, Deftones etc. And NONE of In Flames stuff sounds anything like that! Yes the new stuff has clean vocals and has less of a death metal edge, but it is much heavier and musically FAR superior to the afore mentioned bands, so I'd still classify them as melodic death metal. That being said I hope they play a lot of old stuff on this tour (i.e. Moonshield and Episode 666) and not like Ozzfest where they only played stuff from Reroute to Remain and Soundtrack to Your Escape,...well except for one song from Clayman.

I'd have to drive three hours to Chicago to see these bands... some of my friends are going, maybe I will too. I've seen Zao live... back when I wasn't big on metal or hardcore... it left me kind of disturbed, but I'm sure I'd enjoy it now. Trivium and In Flames strike me as two of the weaker metal bands in today's underground. I liked them both a lot at first, but compared to BtA, Opeth, and even stuff like Lamb of God, it just seems watered down (particularly In Flames). I've heard of Devil Driver, but I've never heard their music... time to check them out on purevolume.
