Hey guys. I realize that some of you on here are in other bands or maybe know someone who is. Maybe there is just a band you think no one knows about yet (like BTA). Well, lets talk about it. Post website links, mp3, pictures, whatever. This is the forum where you dont have to feel guilty for promoting your band! -wisdom-BTA

Hmmm...I'm in a band with Alan and Johnny...we don't have a website yet but from what I hear, our main problem is getting pics for the site (I can cover that though) and a name but whenever we get it up and running I'll post the link.

well, for the last 4 years i have been drumming in the band A Heart Ablaze (formerly known as HeavenBound), and Wisdom and the others know about us, but none of ya'll do, but yeah it's with me and my two older brothers, but we don't play much anymore since they went to college and all. We recorded a demo like 2 years ago, it's ok, we're a lot better than we were back then, and i wasn't a very good drummer then either, but here's the link if you wanna hear a few songs: www.purevolume.com/aheartablaze I don't think our band will last after i go to college...I'm planning on hooking up with a new band...quite possibly a band being formed in New York up at Houghton College...my friend Kyle Spain felt God calling him up there, and there are some guys up there (James-guitar, Tyler-guitar, Joe-bass) and Kyle's a screamer, so they need a drummer, and I think God might be calling me to go up there, and I think we could be very successful, so as far as that whole thing goes, see if you can keep it in your prayers...it would be totally rad to be in that band...anyway the name of that band (maybe "our band") is for.coda, so if you see that name somewhere be sure to check it out oh, by the way, this is how Kyle explains the band name for.coda: Coda = heaven, and a conclusion or closing part of a statement, or the end of a musical composition-- Heaven is my conclusion. So we're striving to reach out to others for God....so they can get to Heaven.

This section of the boards is a good idea. When I record with my new band/bands I'll post links in this forum. Thanks.

I was approached by 2 different people last night at the Shma who are in bands and want to play there. One was called Black Market Faith and the other was As Tomorrow Comes. They say they have Pure Volume or Myspace sites. The way the guy from Black Market Faith talked, they have a sound close to Reborn era Living Sacrifice. I forget what ATC said they sounded like. I didn't get to talk with him as much. And, I just finished listening to a demo by a band called the Influence. I don't think they are a Christian band, but I love their sound. Very reminiscent of early Def Leppard, or just straight up rock and roll. Good sound. I know one of the guy's Dad and he hooked me up with a demo. I might have to listen to it again.

I can't wait to jam with them! I have jammed with Alan and he is a great drummer. He picked up on the couple things I had in my head for years and put some great drum stuff to it.

I didn't get to hear you last night so I can't tell whether you are pathetic or not. Next week, we'll find out. I bet you are better than you say. Hey, I'm just having fun trying to tackle the stuff you guys are doing!

Yeah, some of our stuff is a lot more difficult than any other local band. I'm struggling with bass, but I know I'll get it. And it helps that you and Alan are constantly supporting me on that. It helps a lot.

Not even going to post about my band. Cause we really aren't "Band" material anyways.

Hmm, Ender, your posts are quite the curious. I'd be interested in what kind of stuff you do.
Laura, just keep plugging away at it. You'll get better at it. I got a lot of practicing to do too. Yes, this old fogey has a long way to go.

And a band that does some Electronica Rock/ Synth Rock. But this one is just a side project...
Nothing has really come from either of these bands...
I also mix my own music on mixers and my turntables. And other crappy software.

i used to play drums in a hardcore band. We were once scheduled to open for zao... they cancelled tho so the show got cancelled. We were called Shutout. We stunk tho. haha... good ol teenage years.
I have a band name that I'd like to use if i ever were in a band. None of you can take it!! But here it is.
The Dawn Treader (or maybe just Dawn Treader)
It comes from the CS Lewis Chronicles of Narnia book called Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
