I just bought it. I like it, so far. I didn't get the first one, so I have nothing to compare it to. But I still like it.

I'm hoping to go see them in concert on Sept 1 here in the Birmingham area. With KILLSWITCH ENGAGE!

My take - Frails Words Collapse has better songwriting. This album moves me more. Shadows Are Security has better production. HUGE sounding! Recorded and produced by the same people in the same studio, the difference is the mixing engineer. It was mixed by Andy Sneap, who also mixed Living Sacrifice - The Hammering Process, and Killswitch Engage - The End of Heartache.
So... it's tough. I enjoy Shadows more because the mix is good and it's heavy, but I enjoy Frail Words more because I like the music better. It's a more interesting album. I think they should have Sneap re-mix Frail Words, then I'd be happy! hehe.

I also like Tims vocals much better on the new one, they are deeper and they just sound cool
