I know it's cliche for a band to have a forum section for Art, but, it'd be nice as this is going to stick out like a sore thumb.
Anyways, I just wanted to see what you guys thought of the new song I wrote for my band. We have 2 songs done, so, when I can, I shall get a clip for you guys.
Here's the song, we are Christian Death and Thrash metal with some Power influences
Motion Sickness
I don't loo back anymore I don't want to feel the pain again Content is how I feel Within this comfort zone I have created Perceiving darkness on the road ahead Rebuke the call into moving forward Perception is binding me Still, in my idle state I rest I rest so content

Well, I can sorta relate it to myself a while ago. I used to be real protective of my heart and what I wanted to be and stuff. I just lived a death, basically. Not taking chances, not changing, not trying anything new...and so I became dead in my spirit. But, that has changed. I do not want to get into my whole testimony right here right now because it's 1:30 in the morning, I'm tired, and it's in the wrong thread. I think the song is about being closed in by "emotional walls".

You are close. It's actually about where I was about a month ago. I was content where I was in my spiritual walk and felt like I couldn't go anymore, in otherwords, a lazy spirituality. Then, God caught my heart and was like "You need to move on, not only from the apst things that have happened to you, but strive to have a better relationship with me". And so, I pretty much wrote a two piece song about it. The other song is entitiled "Magna Revision" in which I figured out that I need to get closer to Him.
The name "Motion Sickness", I thought, was most fitting. I didn't want to move on, cause I was afraid of being hurt again, but, now I'm alright.
Thanks for replying.

Speaking of art, here's a poem I just finished writing. It's about a dream I had a while ago, before I really learned to love and serve the Lord. THE VISION
The Reason:
For it is only a dream; a dream it will forever be I pray it will not be reality that I'll see It was so vivid and aspiring Too real for me, and my reason for writing
The Dream:
The room is shaking There is no place to hide The next thing I know Everything has gone white In the distance, I see a glimmer And nothing else in sight No one is around me Just that golden light I run to this thing And realize it's a gate I want to step inside I can no longer wait ____________________
I take hold of the bars Decorated with splendor I push with all of my strength With my hands feeling so tender I nearly give up with a shout Then to my surprise, the Son appears How come I have not fallen facedown? I stand facing Him without tears With an all-knowing expression He asks, "What do you want?" I senselessly answer, "I want inside." Saddened eyes, His face forever haunts
The Significance:
I wanted You, my Jesus For all the wrong things I would never love You Until I surrender life, my King With my joyful weeping I'll bring glory to Your Name My heart has been broken No longer my soul bears shame I have become new again I embrace Your loving arms Your Name is my hope You bring me no harm Hope you liked it.

Yay, pictures...good job, by the way. I'd say it's worthy to hang in my bedroom.
