I love Becoming the Archetype. I saw them in concert in Grand Rapids, Michigan before I shipped for Basic Training back in June of 2008. Dichotomy came out while I was at Basic and I bought it as soon as I got back. Now I've been stationed at Camp Casey in South Korea where I am way far away from any BTA shows any time soon. I'll be stationed here for a year. I loved the BTA show I went to before I shipped to Basic, now I have to go a whole year before I'll get see them again. Unless Becoming The Archetype could go on one of those tours the USO does where they brig live entertainment to US Soldiers deployed oversees. Is there any chance of Becoming the Archetype coming to South Korea? And I'm sure soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan would love Becoming the Archetype as well. Is there any chance of such a thing possible?

That would be cool, Im about to join the military myself, so it would be cool to see some quality bands when in a base.
Just a question, did they assign you to a base or did you pick?

The way it works is, you pick 3-5 places you'd like to be stationed, then the Army stations you where ever they want to. If one of the places you picked is available, they might put you there. It's pretty much a toss up. I picked Korea as my top choice, and I got it. However one of my buddies at Basic also picked Korea as his top choice, and he got sent to Fort Stuart. So it's pretty much a toss up. It's the same with leave, They tell you how much leave you get, you say how much you want, then they give you whatever they feel like giving you. After basic, they told me I'd have 28 days leave before Korea. 14 days Hometown recruiting, plus 14 days leave before going overseas. 28 total. Then once my leave was approved, I got 14 days hometown recruiting, plus 2 days leave. 16 days. 12 less than what I was supposed to get. That's the Army, you get whatever the Army gives you. And you never know what it's going to be.

USO is an organization that makes sure Soldiers stationed overseas get things like phones, internet, and such, and also provide live entertainment every once in a While. So far the only live entertainment I've seen so far was some comediennes, and they weren't really that funny. A few years before I got here, they had Ozzy Osborne do a concert in Korea for the soldiers. If they could get Ozzy, they'd definately be able to get Becoming The Archetype.
