It was interesting, I liked the diagram of the "Father is not the song but is God etc" at the end. Though I am inclined to disagree with the video, it was a lot more intelligent and logical than most videos you see on youtube. I figure that since we're here, I'll post a video too. This guy is a Christian and was a university professor teaching evolution and zoology before becoming a Christian. He's from South Africa. His name is Walter Veith (pronounced "fight", which is what might likely happen if this thread takes a wrong turn.) video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=2679979886246414114&ei=rhi1Scv8I4L8rgKfvryaAg&q=the+genes+of+genesis&hl=enoh yeah and it's very long, an hour and a half more or less. Yay.

I love Theistic Evolution. Theistic evolution? Yeah, God created everything, but uses evolution to confuse the SH*T out of people because we can't explain it any other way. ... No.

The video is no longer available, or I'd refute points from it.
I believe in God and science; heck, I'm going to be studying Physics at university. The person who interviewed me in one uni is a physics lecturer and a Methodist local preacher. The person who is head of the college (small community within university) I have applied for at another uni has one degree in Astrophysics and another in Theology and is an ordained vicar.
I have no problem with evolution plus the Bible. For a start, there is more than one creation account, and the language used within these points towards (for me) the idea that these are metaphors for a greater purpose. There's also so much evidence for evolution that it just makes that much more sense. I'm not going into more detail because I've never felt the need to do deeper research. However, if anyone tries to say that evolution is a theory: do more science! If one has studied science to a reasonable level, one will discover that a scientific theory is actually a lot more definite than the use of the word theory in everyday language.

I love Theistic Evolution. Theistic evolution? God started the evolutionary process to create the world. But, Im totally open to both ways. creationism and evolution. its really not that big of a deal to fight over with.

Yeah, the thing I posted is actual more of a leaning towards a literal interpretation of the Genesis account, but I know where people are coming from when it comes to other viewpoints. I believe in the Big Bang (sort of), I don't believe in evolution (in the sense of like, Darwin).
The video I posted points out some holes in the theory that are somewhat significant. I couldn't explain the whole thing right now, but maybe a bit later I can write out some of the main points to spare people the pain of watching the whole thing.

Yeah, if you have time to watch that video, you probably have less of a life than me.
In which case you'd probably become a black hole and undo the big bang.

They can both get along. Science is just the result of the curiosity that God placed in each of us to discover the world around us (His creation). The more complex and new things we find to study, the more we learn what an amazing creation we live in/on and what an amazing being our Creator is.

I don't believe in science. There is no proof that anything exists!
