I've been a vegetarian for almost three years. It was originally for health/weight loss reasons, and I was rather on-and-off about it. Then I read an article about mass slaughterhouses. When I found out about the cruel condition those animals are forced into, I was like... Cool. Then I went vegan. Going back to my old vegan diet when I move out, can't now because Mom stopped allowing it. Just when I thought this thread couldn't get any lulzier

I really don't care much about what happens to the meat I eat (or anything else, for that matter) before I get it. I just prefer it to not be very processed or injected with large quantities of salt water solutions; some chicken I've seen has up to 30% of the weight as the solution, and there's no way in hell I'm gonna pay extra money just for water. It's such a rip-off.
I try to get leaner cuts of meat cause I absolutely cannot stand fat of any kind, and when I eat hamburger, I always drain and soak the grease out of it (ground turkey is generally better, though). Also, I can't eat any kind of meat that isn't cooked well-done, or at least done (sushi might be an exception, but I haven't tried it yet)....anything less than that makes me feel like throwing up. Even just seeing someone eating meat that's rare/medium-rare makes me feel sick...it's really disgusting.

I can't stand it when meat is like this: Better than non-cooked meat though.

Disgusting looking meat actually makes me hungry for some reason.
I don't like eating to be a chore, so no fatty or undercooked meat.

I dated a girl who had been a vegetarian for 2 and 1/2 years.
I'll admit it takes some doing. So I don't belittle it.
Veganism is too far though. Its dumb.
