Oh man maarten, I totally agree about Ruroni Kenshin, that series pretty much started falling to pieces after the shishio arc. The new FMA series is supposed to follow the manga exactly- I haven't read the manga so I wouldn't know, but so far its alot different then the last anime. Its called Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood here in the states, you can watch subed episodes on funimation's youtube channel. I like anime better than manga just because I've never liked comic books in general. Plus I like color more then black and white. Yeah, what they did with the manga for Kenshin, you have two huge arcs, one with Shishio, and one with a guy called Enishi. When they made the anime, the manga was still producing and when they reached the end of the Shishio arc, the anime had to make up a filler arc to keep on making episodes, and their arc sucked. When the manga finished the Enishi arc, the anime producers due to the crappy filler arc that everybody hated, had lost all budget to make more Kenshin episodes, and the Enishi arc, which is just as awesome and epic and big as the Shishio arc, never got made into anime. I must by the way say that the end made up by the people that made the first FMA anime did have a pretty good storyline, but it's just less awesome than the manga was. I can understand why people don't like manga, but it's the only way to stop being screwed with filler episodes and crappy arcs and endings that wern't in the manga. ;D I don't read to much manga/watch to much anime anymore because I was getting to much in it and wasting too much time.... There was this manga, Hajime no Ippo, which had a little more than 800 chapters (!!!!) when I started reading that, and I read that in like a week. After that I was like; okay, I'm going to find something better to do with my life. I do think I'll check out the new FMA anime though, sounds very intresting.

My friend really likes Hajime no Ippo... Once I get past the fact that it is sport oriented, I might be able to watch and appreciate it. I don't have a problem with manga, but it's just another thing to get into, and it isn't free. I might even prefer the anime medium more. After all, I've generally enjoyed series that were made strictly for anime and not manga more... except Tekkon Kinkreet, that was awesome.

The ending may not have been super deep, but it was consistent with the characters and who they were, and I don't think it could've been done differently and have the same impact or theme

www.onemanga.com/Detroit_Metal_City/bwahahahahahahaha !!!!!! Read this, it is a manga about a death metal band. Let me give you an example of the lyrics of one of their songs: "I'll set the penalty for al your f**kin' crimes! Cuz I'm an emissary from hell! And now I'm gonna tear through your butt! why do I gotta accept your resentment? why do I gotta accept your recentment? Now I'm gonna tear through your butt, this is my curse to you b**ch!" "Rape every woman you see, then sell off the fat b**ches I'm the evil king of criminal acts every woman I see is a slave to me, when I wanna do it, I just slit their f**kin' throats yes I can do everything I want, the emperor of crime"

I may have asked this before, but there is this old anime that I used to like when I was little (like 6 or 7 years old) but I can't remember the name. I would love to find and watch it again. All I can remember is it's kinda sci-fi/fantasy in outer space, at one point they go underground and the people there drive in cars with square wheels - round wheels never occured to them, and there's robot/spaceship things that the bad guys fly that if you blow them up, the head flies off as an escape pod or whatever. It was probably made in the 80's or possibly very early 90's. If any y'all anime fans know what this is, I would be greatly appreciative!
