Can't wait. Abigail Williams dropped of the line up today, but I think I'll still manage to enjoy the show.

Set list:
Kafir! Sacrifice Unto Sebek Hittite Dung Incantation Serpent-Headed Mask Ithyphallic Excretion Text Papyrus Containing The Spell To Preserve Its Possessor Against Attacks From He Who Is In The Water The Fourth Arra Of Dagon Permitting The Noble Dead To Descend To The Underworld Sarcophagus Lashed To The Slave Stick Cast Down The Heretic Black Seeds Of Vengeance
Me and my friend Emma left after Black Seeds, we had to catch a bus. It was their self-declared "last song", but I'm guessing they played at least one encore song. There were only three songs they didn't play that I would have liked to hear, those being "The Eye Of Ra", "As He Creates, So He Destroys", and "The Essential Salts". Overall it was a tremendous show. Krisiun killed, Immolation killed, even Dreaming Dead was good. At one point Krisiun had some tech difficulties with the drums, so while they fixed them, the guitarist just soloed mindlessly for about 5 minutes. It was great.

I don't know them well enough to identify most of the songs, but they did play "Den Of Thieves", "Burial Ground" (which was f**king amazing) and my personal favorite of theirs, "World Agony". They had great stage presence, and the crowd reacted well. Most of the show starting with Krisiun was a pit anyway, and they were no exception.

Considered going, though the show was 1.5 hours away and $25. And since I don't listen to any of those bands, I decided to skip it. Went to see Trainwreck instead (featuring the other guy from Tenacious D) and three other bands which was totally awesome and massive amounts of fun. It was also right here in Chico and only $10.

To be honest, I'm not really a huge fan of these bands either. I've got a couple of albums from each, but my interest in death metal (specifically the heavier bands, like these) has been waning in the past few years. It's a local show though, and only <$20, so I still have no trouble getting excited about seeing a line up like this.
