I don't know why they would remake Straw Dogs or Let the Right One In. I just don't see what they could be doing different that would be beneficial.
--I'm so excited for a new Terrence Malick film.

I read an interview of the director of the new "Straw Dogs" and he doesn't understand (or appreciate) the original AT ALL. I have a feeling it's going to be absolutely terrible, however the original is one of my favorite movies so I will still see it nonetheless. However, the director of the new "Let the Right One In" sounds totally rad and just from what he wrote about it, I'm pretty stoked. I love the original and from the sounds of it, the new one is going to be pretty good. I agree though... why remake it in the first place??? Another Malick fan! I own all four of his movies. What's your favorite? "Days of Heaven" is mine.

Shutter Island was pretty good. ...and if it counts, Black Dynamite was released on dvd this year. A hilarious parody (done right for once) of blaxploitation films from the 1970s. trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-wqmnJrOFM

Fantastic Mr. Fox comes out on dvd soon which I will definitely be purchasing. A Serious Man is already out on dvd which is a spectacular film. I really enjoyed The Box which came out on dvd recently though I know a few people that absolutely hated it.

If you liked the first Boondock Saints film, I would highly recommend Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. Definitely a great sequel.

Meh, I didn't think the sequel was nearly as good as the first one.
