How far do you go into secular music? I personally listen to any music I like and usually don't pay attention to the lyrics. I have no problem listening to bands like Deicide even though I don't like the lyrics that go against my beliefs they don't really bother me.
Also, what do you think is morally acceptable.

Also I personally can't listen to any music with even slightly negative lyrics anymore

I listen to anything. Lyrics don't bother my in the least. In fact, I find lyrics to be a major part of the experience. Satanic, depressive, whatever, doesn't bother me.
When I was younger I thought it was really bad to listen to bands that had that type of lyrical content, but as I matured I found that my faith and belief in Christ was strong. I believe that if you have a strong will and know what you believe, lyrics won't influence you.
The only thing I don't like is excessive profanity. A few of the bands I listen to have a little profanity, but somehow it feels like it adds to the emotion and expression.
Also, for the most part, bands write lyrics for a reason. They have a message or thought they want to convey. To listen to a band "just for the music" is wasteful, in my opinion. It's interesting to listen to it, even if it is depressive or against your beliefs. Gives you a wider view of the world.
But that's just me.
Edit: The only exception would probably be the gore and guts and rape type lyrics. Not a fan. And I am generally not a fan of that style metal anyway. I know it's out there, listened to it, know some people like it, but thats as far as I have gone.

But why would you, as a Christian, enjoy an experience that comes from satanic or depressive lyrics? Wouldn't that make this very experience satanic?

I listen to and enjoy secular music, but lately I've been putting an emphasis on trying to listen to more Christian-themed bands and, to put it bluntly, it feels good man.

I think Paul has something relevant to say about this question, and to paraphrase: Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial. Now while this was originally talking about meat sacrificed to idols, the basic principle of the question is the same.
It is not innately sinful to listen to dark, evil, and or violent music. Then again am I benefiting/edifying myself and the rest of the body of Christ by spending my time zoning out to music glorifying promiscuity, violence, demonic worship, and such?
I used to listen to pretty much anything, from Mortician and Cannibal Corpse to AC. Did listening to AC every influence me to light someone's baby on fire, promote drugs and child abuse, support Hitler, punch women, or anything else like that? Nope. Was it helpful for my spiritual walk and did it bring me closer to Christ? Also a nope.
I now own mostly Christian metal. I appreciate the positive message, and when I find Christian talent I like to support that. I still from time to time listen to "bad" music, but rarely is it in large quantity. I still like all that stuff, but I have to ask myself, "What am I gaining from this?" Also, given my context as a seminary student generally surrounded by people who wouldn't understand the 'angry' style of music let alone the lyrics, the whole "don't be a stumbling block to those who are weaker in their faith thing" applies (Not saying I'm more spiritually strong than them, just that for them it is an issue so I refrain in their presence).

I listen to music for entertainment mostly, and if I want to feel uplifted and good, I'll listen to mostly instrumental post-rock type bands. I find that most of the so called christian bands that are out there lack a certain element of emotion and passion. To me there really isnt many christian bands that I can say I feel uplifted listening too. Other than the obvious few.

"Obvious" is a personal thing, it's obvious to you because you already have the knowledge. It's not obvious to me at all.

It's possible to see and appreciate the artistic creativity in a piece of art without total agreeing with that artist's beliefs.

Satanic is just a word people throw around to carelessly.
oh the album has a pentagram on the cover with a decapitated goat head
it must be satanic
wrong, it could be just a couple of kids side project who actually arent satanic but rather kids who likes black metal and wants to make something fun.

Well, I certainly don't enjoy satanic things. But what is satanic?

By 'satanic' I mean either 'of satan', or 'related to satanism'.
My statement holds true for either definition.
Regardless of how serious the black metal artists are, I still cannot enjoy music or any type of art that blasphemes God. I think it is weird if you enjoy art that insults and offends and hates the Person that you, as a Christian, ought to love above everything.
