The first and only poem I've ever written

This is the first and only poem I've ever written, so if it sucks, you know why.

MERCIFUL DEATH

Sometimes I hate this world
And everything in it
Wish you would come and take mea away from it

I hate all this bickering and squabbling we do
Open up your eyes and see what's right in front of you
Will what you say matter in 20 years
Just shut up and look around
You're not the only one here

Who cares if "Under God" is in the Pledge
Why do the Ten Commandments put us on edge
You say there's seperation of church and state
Well, it really seems more like a gate
You say the church can't get in the state
When the state's getting in the church

Now I know I have my sins
But I really have to say this:
Why's everyone got to be like this
Stop thinking you're the strongest, smartest, best
There will always be someone to put you down

And speaking of put downs
Here's another thing I have to say
Stop giving them out every day
Who are you to pass judgement on everyone
And then get fired up
When someone says the same about you

So that guy has a weird shirt
Or that guy right there acts all weird
Just keep your mouth shut
and maybe you'll have more friends

So like I said
Sometimes I hate this world
And everything in it
And I wish you could just come and take me away from it
But the only way to do that
Is to die go up to heaven
And sometimes that seems the best choice of all

Now It's not that I want to die
for no reason at all
And it's not that I'm suicidal
But can you blame me for wanting to be
Somewhere better than this
So I just can't wait
Until God takes us away
For that will be
The greatest day
To just get away
From all this squabbling and quarreling we do

Just one more thing
Before I go
Jesus gave his life for us
Believe that and you'll find peace
