Exodus 22:20 Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the LORD must be destroyed
Leviticus 20:27 A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads.
Deuteronomy 13:5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he preached rebellion against the LORD your God.
Deuteronomy 13:6 If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, "Let us go and worship other gods" (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people. Stone him to death, because he tried to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
etc.
There are similar laws for sexual immorality and so forth.

so what do you think about the verses you posted amoyensis? do you think they should be followed by Christians as (many radical) Muslims follow the Qur'an?

No, obviously not. Otherwise I'd have to kill a bunch of people and then myself. I have my rationalizations for why I don't follow much of Old Testament law. But I have a pretty 'heretical' view of much of the Old Testament anyway.

its called the old testament for a reason the bible says the old laws have become new Actually, it says that the old laws have been fulfilled. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." Matthew 5:17

Hm.. interesting, you said this of Muslims but you didn't provide references in the Koran. You're making this a debate of "debater vs. debater" Keep it on the subject of "viewpoint vs. viewpoint" Maybe you're playing Devil's Advocate, but this really isn't a topic for that It's a topic of real things that affect current events, not a mere talk of philosophies My point: Devils' Advocate won't do anything for anyone here, so say what you mean
