Yeah, apparently there is absolutely no info on the internet about the Ritz Theatre either...how KVLT is that? I need to check out this Aletheian so I'll know what's going on when they're on stage. Btw, is Alex going to be playing Aletheian and BTA's sets?

Welp, word on the street is the show is going to sell out. The Ritz can hold 400 people, so if it sells out it will be amazing.

Word is all the pre-sale tickets are sold out, but the venue is supposed to have 75 tickets at the door, so if you get there early you should be fine. (by the way, the show actually starts at 2:00, the place that said 5 was a mis-print) Please Lord Jesus, no glitches this time! AMEN Amen dude! After the last time I'm really dreading something going wrong, especially since I REALLY don't trust this venue.

That sounds like a very solid show. I wish that show was in Houston though. And I think it's awesome that cjc is taking his son to a metal show for his 7th birthday. haha. Awesome.

That sounds like a very solid show. I wish that show was in Houston though. And I think it's awesome that cjc is taking his son to a metal show for his 7th birthday. haha. Awesome. That Show was fantastic! Like 7 or 8 bands all ending with Neocracy, Aletheian and BTA. It was a loooong day and a looong drive but it was all totally worth it. All the guys in the bands were so cool. My son and I got to talk to Kent and Thane and the woman that was running the merch table (forgot to ask her name) from Neocracy. We were also able to to talk to Brent, Seth and Jason (I didn't get a chance to talk to Alex, or congratulate him on his engagement) and I just have to say how great it is that the guys are so willing to talk to you and hang out. Elijah was picking out a shirt for his birthday and Jason says to me "Nobody ever wears a plain black tank top to our shows" (I was wearing one) "You need one with a BTA logo on it" and he just gives me a BTA tank top! How awesome is that!?? I was like thankyouthankyouthankyou! O.K. so on the the shows.... Neocracy came out set up did their sound check the prayed around the drum kit before starting their set. They began with a intense song called Blood and Bone Transformed (I think thats what it's called) and that set the tone for the rest of their set even when the bass players amp broke they just kept pummeling and shredding. Wisdom hooked the guy up with his bass head and then it got even heavier .........it was amazing. This show gust sold me that much more on this band. Aletheian was incredible. They played with a friend of theirs on bass that really added a new dimension to their live show and the guy they added on guitar from Texas had only been playing with them for a few day but you shouldn't tell. It was as if he had been a member of the band all along. Their drummer never ceases to amaze me and Alex was just jaw dropingly phenomenal as usual. Joel "sang" with such conviction and energy i could feel the Spirit in him from the back of the theater. They were so incredible. I look forward to seeing what God has in the future for these guys. Good things are happening even though they no longer have Donny Swigart in the line up. o.k I gotta go I'll write about BTA's set later.

Heck yeah it was amazing!
For about the first 5 bands that played the crowd was pretty much dead, so I was a bit worried it was going to be that way all night. But...then Neocracy took the stage and if there's ever a band that's going to make a crowd go crazy, it's Neocracy. They of course blew me away again last night. At the Emmaus show, when they played "Death of Harmony" there was a fight. They played it again last night and Thane called for a "Wall of Death" during the climax, so a bunch of people got into position for it, but once it started one side ran and the other just stood there and got crushed against the side of the theatre, it was both brutal and hilarious. Neocracy once again put on the most energetic live show of the night. Set list went something like:
"Blood and Bone Tranquility" "Coward's Hymn" "The Citadel" "Cease of Decay" "Winter of the Sun" "Death of Harmony"
Aletheian took the stage next and though I wasn't familiar with their music, (which should change since I bought their CDs last night) I was amazed by the complex performance. It was epic.
Then BTA took the stage... holy crap. The last time I got to see them was one the Undying tour last year and everything about there 15 minute set was dull and robotic. Last night they were freakin' awesome. During The Epigone I STARTED a mosh pit for the first time. Another great moment was when I got to scream into the mic during the Elegy. I think the set list went something like this:
"Epoch of War" "Immolation" "The Epigone" "No Fall to Far" "The Great Fall" "Into Oblivion" "Autopsy" "Elegy" Encore: "Construct and Collapse"
All in all it was one amazing night.

It was. I didn't have time to write about BTA's set the other day and I don't know if I could really do it justice with words. You really have to see them live, if your a fan, you just have to. If you didn't get a chance to see them yet do everything in you power to get to a show and don't forget to ask God to to put that in his will for you as well cause thats the most powerful thing you can do, AMEN! I do have to say one thing. Jason's vocal were so powerful live and it seemed so effortless to him. I'm sure thats not the case but he made it look so easy as he sang. And Alex's vocal not only compliment the music beautifully on the album but even more so live, especially when he and Jason sort of echo each other in Epoch.
