I got this idea from the board that I post on most frequently (Ted Dekker's board). Many of the boardies are writers and future authors. We often write stories together, which we call "Circle Stories." It is very easy: Someone comes up with a basic plot, and a few characters. Everyone else creates their own character or takes over one of the characters already extant, and we all help to write the story together.
If you would like to try, then let me know, and I will post a story beginning. Would you rather do fantasy, sci-fi, allegory, historical fiction, a thriller, mystery, or nothing? Awaiting your answers. God bless! ~EvadingShadows

That's awesome, we did something like that on the Shma board and it got soooo funny. I would really like to try it here....just need someone to start it out.

Hmm. I am more than willing to start, but I'd like to know what sort of story you all want it to become. Any genre would do, as far as I'm concerned. So pick one, and I'll get "write" to work. God bless! ~EvadingShadows

Well, picking ONE genre doesn't really work. Just start somewhere and it'll pick up. The reason I say that one specific genre won't work is because once everyone inputs their ideas, it spans multiple genres.

Hmmm...Earth is being fumigated and its inhabitants are all living on a space station...how's that for a starter?

Actually, picking one genre does work, believe it or not. I've done this many times before, and people usually stick to the story fairly well. I sort of like the sci-fi idea -- just keep it from getting cheesy.
Too many times I've seen these stories ruined because people want to go for something funny, and instead it turns out... well, dumb. But that's okay. This will belong to everyone, so I won't complain if it gets off from what I intended. I'm just letting people know upfront that I would prefer adherence to the story-line as much as possible. That said, I'm busy with schoolwork at the moment, and shan't get in a story post until after Chines class at 4:00. I may not have anything till tomorrow, in fact. I do want to do this, though. God bless! ~EvadingShadows
