This poll is for folks who voted on the presidential election (it'd be cool to keep it specifically for those who actually voted). So once you vote officially, let us know who and why!
I sent in my absintee ballet Monday. I found a side-by-side comparison of the two presidential candidates and ended up agreeing with McCain on basically everything. Plus Obama is pro gun-control which I am way against and he will be not as supportive of the Defense Industry (which I aim to get a job in once I graduate college in a couple years) thus putting my future career at stake. So for me the choice was simple.

Where did you find this side-by-side comparison? And is it unbiased? Because I'm tired of seeing the biased ones from the various parties. As of right now, I'm for McCain, but I can't vote in this election. I'll miss it by 20 days (my birthday is on the 24th).

Ah dang! Yeah I missed last election by a couple of months. 'Twas a drag. I don't remember where I found it, though it seemed fairly un-biased, if anything a little towards Obama. Overall it was pretty factual it seemed. I'll try to find it and if I do I'll post a link.

The thing that sucks about it is that EVERYONE is telling me, "Hey, don't forget to vote!" I explain the whole "I'm missing the election by 20 days" thing literally 10-30 times a day. It's getting tiring. GAH! I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I CAN VOTE! GAH!

Dude, you should vote. It's your given right and duty as an American citizen! C'mon man, do it!

I voted for McCain because I want to steer away from socialism.

We had a mock election today at our school. I'm pretty sure I heard that Obama won, but it was hard to hear because this made me laugh so hard.
School Intercom:"Today in the mock election, 60% of the white students voted McCain, 80% of the hispanic students voted Obama, and 100% of the black students voted Obama"

Can they do that? On another note, I am sick of people voting for Obama just because he is "cool." I would think people would have the intelligence to look past a superficial advertisement and research and then give a real reason to vote.

I heard more people voted for American Idol than the last election. Those are the people deciding the future of our country. I don't think I know a single person who's voting for Obama because they know where he stands and they agree/they know where McCain stands and they disagree. Anyway, I'm only 17 so I can't vote but I'd vote for McCain. I can't really think of anything I like about Obama.

You're missing a few options...."other," "not qualified," and "didn't vote."
I didn't vote.

Can't vote, but would've voted Obama...
Surprisingly, I had a conversation with my friend about politics today that didn't turn into an argument. Usually we don't see eye to eye on things but when I explained where I stood on certain things he at least didn't scream at me.

I heard more people voted for American Idol than the last election. Those are the people deciding the future of our country. You can vote more than once for American Idol.
