A lot of the Nu-metal bands played in drop A or lower. I always thought most nu-metal bands played in Drop D. Or is that metalcore?

I think most metal core is drop d or CGC, etc.

Nu-metal rarely goes all the way to A. Generally D or C.

Metalcore tends to favor drop d, but they're kind of moving to drop c. It's actually post-hardcore and alt rock bands that are using drop d now. Nu metal have traditionally used drop c such as P.O.D. on Satellite.

I like E# sharp standard better personally. You mean E double-sharp? A.K.A. F#? The vocalist of Stella Dawes told me they were tuning in C#G#D#G#CF for their new stuff.
