Custom 8 string Ibanez guitar. This is the only guitar that anyone will ever need. Ha! I've seen an eight string, I did not have any feelings of desire towards it. Seven string... yes... if I wanted to play in A or something... but 8 string? I'd have to move my whole forearm just to run a scale. anyway, if you like Ibanez, I have heard many people recommend Schecter for lower price ranges Sweet.

Surely that is photoshopped Well, I recall there being a band where a guy uses a two-string (I forget if it was considered a guitar or bass, though.), but I forget the name of the band. I think it was a hardcore band of some sort.

I don't get people's fascination with those, honestly. They are, in my experience, horrible guitars for shredding unless you put a lot of work into them. I don't really care all that much about their tone, as most of that I bleed from my amps... and I would switch out the pickups, anyways. They do make you look cool, though, right? Les Paul's are pretty awesome and work well for some people (ie. In Flames, Nightrage, etc). However, I agree. To me, they do tend to feel a little awkward during speed play. I also recommend checking out Schecter; they can be pretty fast.

Rich fan all that much... but this guitar is amazing. May last year I was on tour and I broke the main guitar I had with me. I picked up the Eagle, plugged it in, and started playing... and I was like... damn... this is an amazing guitar. So I bought it... certainly haven't regretted it, but it doesn't have a FR bridge on it, my only regret.

Does anyone know about the Epiphone EM-1? It's on sale for $150AUD at a guitar store for this weekend, I'm thinking about getting it and putting 12-gauge strings or whatever is needed for drop C/B/A. And the store has Gibson strings for sale at $5 as well.

I'm not sure about the bottom cut away, as it doesn't look like it allows you great access to the 23rd and 24th frets. I chuckled a bit when it said "attention all shredders" on the Epiphone site when describing this guitar. Other than that... for what you get, it's a decent price (probably because it's discontinued). Since I haven't played it, I can't really comment on the feel or neck shape... where neck meets body I find important.

I got the Em-1. And I picked up Gibson Powerlines 13 gauge strings (because I want to play in drop and lower). Anyone got any idea what I have to adjust for it?
