Alright, recently I snapped the head off my old guitar, which, sadly, was a once piece, meaning I can't simply replace a part and move on.
So... I'm in the market for a new one. Unfortunately, there are only a few music stores in town, and they don't have a large selection in guitars.
Basically what I'm looking for is a guitar under $1500 AUD (say $1250 USD) that has a through-neck with a Wizard II neck sort of feel, locking FR-style tremolo. I will not play a guitar that has a v shape.

I was supremely tempted to buy one of those the other day, but it wasn't worth the $250. I will own a Hello Kitty guitar some day.

Mmm, I don't generally like the feel of the tele's... they are good for some stuff, but I would only use one for specific compositions, they have a lot of limitations as far as style and feel, let alone sound.

Telecasters are uuuuuuuuuuuugly. And I'm pretty sure there aren't very many with Floyd Rose.
I have a Jackson Dinky Performer that I'm very happy with. I'm pretty sure they don't sell the model that I have, though.

I haven't played very many Jacksons. A friend of mine recommended getting one of those instead of an Ibanez... although I do lean a lot towards Ibanez guitars... they just seem to be overall the smoothest and fastest for pure playability. Unfortunately, the models I end up liking are usually out of my price range, at least currently. I was looking at an Ibanez S620EXFB.
Ah, right... 24 frets is another must-have. That's why I didn't go with the S620. After moving up to the 24, I just can't go back down, I feel like I'm missing half a finger or something.
Can anyone vouch for Dean or Schector guitars? I see Deans a lot, but no one here stocks them.

Schecters are great, I had a Damien 6 with the Floyd Rose tremolo and it was one of the best I ever played.

Schecters are great, I had a Damien 6 with the Floyd Rose tremolo and it was one of the best I ever played. That's good to hear. I love the look of the Damien body, but haven't got to play that actual model... one the stores near where I'm from in Canada had Schectors back in the day, and they seemed pretty good. One of the stores here is getting them, too, so I'll have a wing.

Custom 8 string Ibanez guitar. This is the only guitar that anyone will ever need.

Surely that is photoshopped
anyway, if you like Ibanez, I have heard many people recommend Schecter for lower price ranges

*Completely absurd instrument* This guitar would be awsome. Is that a two-string bass?
