Fear has become fruition A vehicle of profit and panic Moves closer into realms of realistic threat As inevitability replaces worry
An apocalypse usurped by celestial force Your gods did not prepare you for this A mathematical silencer of hope Your gods did not prepare you for this
The day is coming When your speech of fearlessness before death Of created purpose and meaning Of total existential control Will be truly put to the question You'll ask them where their gods are I'll ask what your godself is doing to make a difference
This is it This is the reality of what you preach Embrace Nihil
The end of the world is here There is no battle There is no rapture There is no tribulation And there will be no kingdom left alive
Your monuments and progressions are nothing In the shadow and wake of fire and stone This world was meant to die And all of its memories with it Your footsteps will be washed away Your feats forgotten Your art destroyed No saints, no heroes, no idols, no gods A barren wasteland A dying sun gazing upon a scorched earth This is it This is the reality of what you preach Embrace Nihil
Your god didn't save you My god wasn't meant to
No narrative No kingdom of God on Earth No future No fear of death
In death I am set free

really does sound like a mix of old/new The Faceless but I like The Faceless so I like this I can see what you mean, but I don't think it's as meticulously thought out as Keene's lyrics, at least on PD I used the (barely)sci-fi element as a metaphor/backdrop for my own themes, so it's a lot gayer and more personal than Faceless stuff

yeah I do the same thing with my lyrics, lot of sci-fi undertones but the overtones are more about personal things
