Is unconditional love realistic? Does it work? Do you believe the Lord loves unconditionally (if of course you believe in Him)? If so, how so? Give examples, and if you provide scriptures also give a thoughtful explanation of how they pertain to the topic.

Nope, none of you guys would worship him if he didn't dangle eternal bliss over your head like a f**king doggy treat Since I know you don't believe in God, my question to you would be "Is unconditional love a good thing amongst people? If it is only sometimes, give examples of when would it be a good idea and when it wouldn't"

Unconditional love would maybe exist in a utopia, but not on this Earth.
You can never truly understand an individual, you may have an incredible bond with a mother or father or something but nope sorry no unconditional love.

Well if we are just throwing claims in the air, I respond like so:
Unconditional love exists because God exists. (I do actually believe this, but I word it like so to note how hasty of a claim it is)

Thoughtful observations and theories trump hasty claims no matter what your view of the issue is. "Clarity is better than agreement." Make clear and logical points.

I think that because God loves unconditionally, unconditional love exists. I haven't proven God's existence or anything, but thats a different issue.

How do we know God loves unconditionally? Think back to the scripture: "Jacob have I loved and Esau have I hated." I don't know; I'm just throwing things out there. Perhaps the context of those words in the Hebrew or with other scriptures makes them mean something different. Or what about the scrpture that says something like: "God has created some vessels for honor and others for destruction."?
If we have some different Bible scholars on the board, you could be very helpful here.

if love is unconditional, then it's not so special anyway
Besides, there are scriptures about God hating/detesting unrepentant sinner, anyway
I have no references, because references are for []s. It is written, etc

?
God loves mankind. He made us and saw we were pleasing. God doesn't say in heaven, "Well, that one is righteous IMO, so I'll love him/her!" or whatever. On the contrary, it is exactly the opposite of this that occurs. Our righteousness is but filthy menstrual rags in His sight, but His Son took retribution for our sins. If we accept this fact and Him into our lives, we are saved. God loves us regardless of our past, which I find to be strange, yet amazing.

The Bible seems to hint that there are some people who the Lord made for destruction. What do you make of that though? Has the Lord created some people who he predestined to never recieve salvation? I don't buy into predestination, but I'm not sure what to make of those scriptures though. They're certainly disturbing to me.

According to Revelation, when God returns it sure as hell won't be in a loving manner, it will be to bring judgement and punish the wicked.
