I've been having a lot of heart problems lately. Mainly, it's been chest pain and dizziness, and lots of lovely tachycardia. Today I was sent home from work because my heart rate was 130 while resting, and my blood pressure was 154/90 (again, while resting). I'm going to see a doctor today, and I have an appointment with a cardiologist on Monday. In any case, right now I'm feeling very dizzy and tired, but mostly worried. Please pray that the doctors will be able to help, or that God will simply provide a healing touch. Thank you

You have my prayer.
some info from experience that might help-
Chest pain can be caused by: back/spinal problems / a pinched nerve nervousness / anxiety lactose intolerance acid reflux and probably many other things or a combination of things
the pain that is common with heart problems is described as "a weight on your chest" and is pretty much debilitating. Except for that, other heart problems are usually are asymptomatic (meaning no symptoms)
you might want to monitor what you eat, you may just be alergic to something
Also, it's not uncommon for young men in their appox. 20's to be healthy and have a high blood pressure. it usually levels out in your 30's. And when examining a younger person's b.p. its the lower number that counts, for older people it's the higher number. 90 isn't extremely high.

I'm already aware of all of that; the problem is that it's not abnormal for me to be sitting down relaxing, and have a pulse of 160. When that happens, I feel like someone is stabbing me in the chest, I get short of breath, dizzy, my vision is blurred, and afterword I feel exhausted, like I just ran a mile.

Ah that is odd indeed. Sometimes I notice I have a quick pulse even when resting. Not near 160 however. I am praying for you as I wright, man.
Heart issues run in my family as well. My great uncle died of a heart attack, and my dad wound up needing quintuple bypass surgery due to clogged arteries. I am no expert, but it should be relatively easy for a cardiologist to find out if your situation is something as big as that.
However, when my dad got testing on his heart after noticing his symptoms, the first doctor said medicine and small things would be fine. To be certain on things, my dad got multiple opinions and the next doctor said that, without a doubt, my dad needed surgery. So get a few opinions on this if it seems to be a bigger problem.
God is supreme in every way and has a purpose for you no matter what happens. If this turns out to just be something small, then praise God for health! Through it, He will have taught you (as well as we reading about your situation) to appreciate good health and to trust Him in all things.
Please, if you can, keep in touch here with updates.

Well, according to the cardiologist, my symptoms were most likely the result of too much stress. It makes sense to me, really. There's been a lot of new things going on in my life, some good and some bad, so I need some time to take a chill pill. Thanks everyone for your prayers Now I need to get a hobby.
