What are your opinions? I think that as far as Christian metal goes they are pretty good. Certainly unique. The only thing is that they have annoying vocals. The music however is entertaining to say the least.

Hit and miss - some of their stuff is really good, some of it's shockingly bad.

I'm a big Tourniquet fan. One of my main influences as a vocalist is Guy Ritter (Stop the Bleeding-Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance). The Crawl to China album was pretty horrible, but they are starting to get back to their thrash roots again. However, they'll probably never return to their original sound without Guy Ritter and Gary Lenaire.

Their first three albums are enjoyable in different ways. Everything after that is pretty bad except for a few scattered songs.

Great band with only one true misstep in the Crawl to China album. I am, however, anxiously awaiting to see how their collaboration with Neil Kernon shakes out. He's one of the best. He might even be the standard by which producers are measured when it all shakes out.

Hearing that (hopefully, preliminary) guitar tracking is making me cringe...I really hope they get a better guitar tone.

I have three CDs of theirs and more on my wish list. Microscopic View of a Telescopic Realm was the first I got, and it's one of their best. Crawl To China was the second I bought, and it's considered by several reviewers I've read to be their worst. While Microscopic View is much better, I don't think Crawl To China is a bad album at all. There's only one song on it I consistantly skip (Tire Kicking). Proprioception and If Pigs Could Fly are two of my favorite Tourniquet songs, and the guitar from Bats goes through my head more than any other guitar bit (and that's a good thing). (The other one I have is Carry the Wounded, which is experiemental for them but still good).
The next ones I want to get are #2 and #3: Psychosurgery and Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance. I listened to a friend's copy of "Broken Chromosomes" and it is a truely awesome song.

Not really into thrash much these days, though I did order Seventh Angel's first two albums which I'm looking forward to arriving. Everything else Ian Arkley touches is gold IMO so I expect to enjoy them quite much.
