I can play those gymnopédies (well, they're quite easy to play, just a little bit tricky to interpret.) By the way, Paul, I just realized you're avatar is from a Danielson album. Danielson is kinda weird, but I an enjoy them from time to time ;D. On another note, I've never heard a (non-jazz) coomposition for piano and saxophone before this I must admit, pretty awesome though. Usually Ornstein is too modern/dissonant/atonal/etc for me, but this piece is quite nice:

I like this, but I'd want more than 1 type of instrument in the music. I was hoping someone would mention a band that made music like this, when I made the thread:

If you want flute, this is quite good:

That's pretty nice and relaxing, not as good as the melodies in the song I posted though.

Never say never ... there is a lot of ambient stuff in it, so I think he should give it a try ... and it isn't dark

Jeremy Soule's Morrowind/oblivion soundtracks are really good classical type stuff if anyone else cares.

I know you said not metal, but then you said you like celtic music. So I think you might like Korpiklaani's instrumentals. They're a folk metal band, and not an instrumental band, but they do a lot of really good instrumentals. This is one of my favorites: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEVJFSUjvNoI don't really like much of their songs with lyrics, so as far as I'm concerned they may as well be an instrumental band.

Yeah I already have 4,500 plays of Korpiklaani, they're a very great band.
