I read in their version of the Bible, and I'm paraphrasing And the Word was a God
Or, something to that nature. I need to dig in my memory to remember this one better.

Yes that's correct. They don't believe Jesus Christ was God. They don't acknowledge the Trinity of God. They also don't do blood transfusions because they believe blood is sacred (why? i don't know, in the OT blood was a dirty thing). They don't celebrate birthdays/holidays because Jesus "never" did. I don't know why they think that because i do remember Jesus celebrating the passover and weddings. They don't believe Jesus was crucified on a cross. They think it was a pole. They don't bear allegiance to any country, so they won't participate in war (like during the draft they went to Canada/Mexico or Jail). They were killed in concentration camps along side jews and others. They are "banned" in many countries (according to a conversation i had with one last night). Nobody really likes them but they are known to occasionally do good things. they struggle with depression because there is no hell like as in eternal suffering. and there's so much more...
do you want me to keep goin?

do you want me to keep goin? Dude, keep it rolling, I need more input on this also. Haha Last time they came up to my door, I told them that they smell bad. But, that was before I was a Christian, I can't wait until they come to my door again, I wanna have a very nice converstation about Christianity and hopefully plant some sort of seed

well there are lots of places where you can find sources about JW's, you can even go to their website (however i would suggest praying before viewing anything of this sort that God might protect your mind) watchtower.org. if you want to talk to one, remember above all things to love on them. They don't understand God's love (for they haven't experienced it). They aren't like most people you'll talk to and they will try to dominate the conversation and gear it towards your conversion to their faith. They are usually kind and will probably know more of the bible than you will. If you are wanting the conversation to go the apologetics way then i would suggest being very prepared. They have been trained/brainwashed since they were young to respond to most of the questions we ask them. For every scripture we give they will probably have 2 or 3 or more to counter it with their ideas. So remember above all things to love on them (and that takes time). I wouldn't expect them to accept Jesus Christ on the first conversation, but through hard prayer and fasting the Lord can do anything through you. He will honor your work for His kingdom. I hope that made sense. Any questions? Jesus P. oh yeah one more thing, remember that you are just supposed to deliver the message of salvation, God does the saving.

I was told they are not suppose to pray outside of the church. But other then that, this stuff will really help me out I live a block away from a JW church.

About 2 years ago, I had this urge to run into tge middle of a Jehovah's Witness church and start preaching. It was wierd, and then about a couple months ago, I had a dream I did that, then the cops came and found Dan Akroid(sp?) in the basement

Yea I think they believe that only a certain number of people get into heaven, so I have no idea why they want people to convert. It's like calling in people from another district into a high school track meet, there are more people who will beat you.

Gettings, Jehovah Witnesses are a Christian Cult. They believe that Christ existed and believe in God the Father but they deny the deity of Jesus Christ and have other false beliefs. The best site I know of for cults is the bereans. www.thebereans.net/The JW's are classically a "one true church". This site is great for info on OTC's. www.theholdemans.com/Compare.htmA great guest pastor at my church has an awesome site and has a study on the JW"s. Really good. alwaysbeready.com/I have a girlfriend who is in one of these OTC cults and have writen a study that you may find useful concerning the deity of Jesus Christ. www.dk777.comGod bless and keep rocking Jason

Be careful about debating with Jehovah's Witnesses. Often times, orthodox Christians will think they can have a cake walk with one and end up embarrasing themselves, as Jehovah's Witnesses often times know how to defend what they believe very convincingly. One really needs to study the issues in depth before doing so.
