i sense God moving in a big way.the scene that we all enjoy is filled with people -some saved some not- who are seeking something better than this world has for them.....anybody have anything to say? any testimonials, observations? you know, we are leaders as Christians and GOD has chosen us to bring about a BIIIGGG change. i dont think this scene would be flourishing back in the 80's and early nineties. i know they had great Spirit filled bands then, but even the local rock station plays norma jean, underoath, mortal treason, and other Christian bands.day of fire is on regular rotation!it just seems like people are more open now.........

Yeah, i totally agree with you. God is putting people in a position in the hardcore christian scene that has the potential to change the world. I just hope and pray that these bands will not forget what they are here for and that, called by God or not, that they are still there to spread his word. I'm thankful that such bands exist, that can be as open as they are about their faith. Well, that's my thought on the subject.

God has called me to reach to the people in the "scene" later in life. Right now, He wants me to focus more on Him and learn how to be a leader because that's what I need to know in order to do my calling.

i really feel God is calling me to do something for my generation and the coming generations...i'm a music lover but God is above everything else.....it's sad that many bands label themselves as Christians but don't reflect that light to those who are lost...many are just in for the music...i never seen the archetype guys live but from i heard from them and other ppl i know these guys are real...they have one missioin...and i feel God is calling me to do the same...i play guitar and i been praying to God if it's His will to put me in the music scene so that i cannot just play music, i want to bring the message along with others to those who are lost...and at the same time God will be glorified...God has been working great in this generation and i know that there's gonna be a great revival!!! Praise Him!

I believe I am called to promote music that glorfies God. How simple is that? When I was growing up (i'm an old cripple now - 24), bands like Plankeye, Poor Old Lu, Petra, Whiteheart, Fold Zandura and more really encouraged me during the hard times in high school. Now I want to give back, to bring music to a new generation. Now it's BTA, Norma Jean, Extol etc.. that are going to encourage the new generation. I want to be a part of bringing that music to people, whether it's performing it, producing it, or promoting it!

I friggen love you guys , God bless you all in everything be full of the spirit! but as for a testimonial and stuff i got one that happend quite recentally . Theres this band www.purevolume.com/nikolatesla Nikola Tesla and there one of the only christian bands in the scene where i live.. So at one of there shows and just like all the others i were screaming the words that had so much meaning yet i wondered if the people at this show even knew. At times during the show i found my self praising my father in heaven for such grace!! (image that worshipCore ) after the show i felt God calling me to thank this band for such encouragement through their music.. So after the show me and a friend went up and thanked and prayed for him and stuff it was super sweet.. Then like a day later i was talking to my other friend which is friends with ppl from the band and she was telling me how they were feeling so discouraged from not getting any feed back from the ppl and they were all wondering if this is what God really wanted in their lives.. They just wanted so reasurrance, so they prayed before there set and stuff and i think thats prety cool cause i got to encourage them and thank them for encouraging me!!.. SO moral of the story is that we gota rise up as brothers in christ and fights UNITE ppL!! I Love you guys keep on rocking ... God Bless ps: sorry for bad grammer and spelling wrote this fast, gota go to class=D

you know, i honestly don't know right now. i was forced to quit high school after my junior year (i'm supposed to be a senior this year) but nothing has been made clear just yet. however, i'm getting my GED next month so maybe i'll know more after that. as for musically, my youth group is having a concert next month. a couple local bands are coming out and playing, and my brother's band is playing their first show. one of my youth leader has VERY ambitious expectations for the turnout of this concert. she is hoping that 300-500 kids will show up, which is quite a lot more than i'd expect. so i'm going to advertise it like crazy around here and on peoples myspaces with the hope that we can realize that potential turnout.
