Whats wrong with the political parties?
Republicans, Conservatives, Right Wingers - Talk out of both sides of their mouths, out of touch with the folks, make promises they do not intend to keep, use the name of Christ or Christian tenets to woo the Christian voter block, generally part of the "two-party monster" that this country is stuck in.
Democrats, Progressives, Liberals - Socialistic, exploiters of minorities and the poor, out of touch with the folks, make promises they never intend to keep, hypocritical, creators of new gov. entities to line the pockets of themselves, their friends and families, talk from both sides of their mouths.
Libertarians - The only dirt I can get on them is that they would legalize most, if not all drugs, that is completely irresponsible, destructive and a cop-out from a tough issue.
I was raised in a Democrat home. My grandfather was actually in politics. "pick a damn good democrat" was our family motto. By the time I was 18, there were no "damn good democrats" to make a long story short, I quickly became extremely dis-enchanted with the dem.'s. So I went completely to the opposite side and changed my voter card to republican. It took longer, but I lost my zeal for the republicans after being bamboozled too many times by them. Finally I changed my card to independent. If you were to put me into a party, I'd have to say Constitution party. They, more than any, reflect what made this country great, and will keep it that way. Smaller government, low taxes, fiscal responsibility with the tax dollars that I do pay, tough on crime, bolstered national security (military) to fight terrorism, close the borders to illegals, drug smugglers and terrorists.
All liberals do is make fun of the President's face and the way he talks, they push fascism down my throat. They never, ever bring up real issues. They point out problems (some real, some imagined) but never have a solution (at least a practical one).
For my republican bashing, I'll just use our President. While he has done a decent job internationally, the military, the economy, taxes and for the most part the fight against terror, he is allowing millions (yes millions) of illegal aliens to flood into this country every year and break the backs of our social and medical assistance programs. Not to mention that any Ahmed or Muhammad can bring a "dirty bomb" or the plague into this country through the weak border security. Mr Bush is also growing the government machine faster and bigger than any liberal in American history. If the republicans just did what they say they would do, I would probably would still be one.
If I have offended anyone here, I'm sorry. I really do want everyone to like me. And if you fall under any of the two parties, its okay. We all grow up eventually... ;D
