I mentioned him before. But he told me he's giving up on God. He blames God because he said God is just wainting letting him suffer, which I know it not true. He just doesn't want to sacrifice to seek him. I have known this friend of mine since pre-school and he means a lot to me. Please pray for him and for me. I would also ask for guidance and wisdom. Thank you.

that happened to one of my friends, he started listening to manson, he went to a liberal film school, and now he thinks hes a hard @** cuz he "fell away" some people are misled, it really depresses me that one of my greatest freinds has gone so far downhill.

Yeah, that happened to one of my best friends who i've know since forever. We were like sisters, we did everthing together, and we even have the same birthdays. Now, she doesn't talk to me anymore or believe in God.

I have a friend who is horrible about blaming his problems on God. Remember that God wants him to be happy and have a great life and wants him to feel great. If something goes wrong, it isn't necessarily God's fault, and it isn't always satan doing his thing either. Sometimes things just happen. I think the most common thing that I see in my friend in the times he has had issues is that whenever something is good, he blames God, when something is bad, he blames God. Priase God and all his glory for what he has done, he does WONDERFUL THINGS, but by all means he does not want to let us and make us suffer, that's the exact opposite. Having faith in God is one thing, believing is one thing, being strong is one thing, but blaming God for everything is another. Example: My car gets 35mpg every day. It is not because God makes it do that, it's because I drive nice, and selectively don't foot myself to work. One day my car miraculously gets 100mpg, what'ya know I was short on money, seems like God was playing a part there! (that did not actually happen, remember, this is an example). By all means, you prayed for help and your car got 100mpg which is humanly impossible for your car. Praise God. 2 weeks later out of nowhere your car gets 10mpg, something breaks and a tire goes flat. Okay, well, sorry but sometimes life throws a curveball, cars have wear and tear on them, things happen and things break. 2 weeks ago things were great, but now the thing broke, God didn't force it to break and he isn't trying to make you suffer, but things happen. In times like this it's time to pray and ask for help, not mock God for "making you suffer", stick with it, through the good times and the bad. The bible never said life would be a cakewalk, sometimes life will be seemingly PERFECT, and we get so used to it that we seem to think that life will stop being life, it'll be impossible for something bad to happen. Just keep in mind, you're still human, and yes, by all means, praise God, listen to him, feel his presence and stay close to him, but if something goes bad make the best out of it and RIDE IT THROUGH! IT GETS BETTER! I can't stress that enough. My friend went to church religiously, all the time. He had a fiance, he was engaged to her and she broke up with her, he blamed God and NEVER went back to church. Well, you can point someone in the right direction but ultimately every man makes his own decision, her decision was to not be with him. That's not God's fault, it's their issue, things that he had no control over and yet he blamed God. He had his car break, he blamed God. He lost his job, he blamed God. The thing he failed to realize is that he was dwelling on every bad thing that happened, and instead of taking ownership over his life and going back to God to ask for forgiveness and a chance to fix everything he looked for an outlet to blame and excuse all the bad things and decided that God wanted him to suffer when that was not the case. Unfortunately to this day my friend is still that way, I have attempted to help him but like I said you can point people in the right direction but ultimately every man makes his own decision. My recommendation: Have your friend read the book of Job

Any time I find myself having a rough time I look back at the book of Job and go "Now this guy is a prime example of a bible cowboy, he rode through everything with absolute faith even when everything fell down on top of him and never once blamed God. Truly a man of God."
If only the rest of us could be so strong eh?
Well congratulations, he was JUST AS HUMAN AS YOU AND ME! WHOOO! I don't know about you but it is a VERY good motivational chapter in the book to know that someone just as weeny and frail as me was able to keep their faith so greatly and not bend like a reed in the wind and break when things got tough.
Tell your friend we'll all be praying, but let him know that God will always love him, always.
