I...this is really embarassing to admit, and I know it's disgusting, and I want to fight it, I really do, but...it's hard. Anyway, my struggle is with porn. I just want it to be a thing of the past, but when no one's home, I keep slipping back into an old habit. I can't stop, it's like a drug. I just want to get it over with, I don't treat women bad in real life, and at the same time I feel like I'm committing a huge wrong (I am) and I feel like such a hypocrite, because I can't stand the thought of men treating women like this. So can you guys please pray for me?

the best one that helps me is Ephesians 5:3
"But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as fitting for saints."
Go to xxxchurch.com and get x3watch. x3watch monitors the sites you visit on your computer and sends any suspicious ones to an accountability partner. better yet, send it to a leader in your church! just put their e-mail address in and they will get a accountability report every month. remember, you can do all things through christ who strengthens you!

That could also be a problem...see, we just left one church and my dad is looking for a youth pastor position.

Accountability is a big part in staying away from porn addiction. Also, stay away from the temptation. Don't go near that computer. When you feel tempted, call a friend and go do something. Get as far away from that temptation as you can. Also, do not dwell on your sin. For example, you'll say "I'm not gonna do it, I'm not gonna do it, I'M NOT GONNA DO IT!", but guess what, thinking about it constantly will most likely lead you to do it.

I also struggle with porn. The same way you do, when no one is home, then i fall, those kind of circumstances. I hate it, but for some reason i keep doing it. Keep me in your prayers too guys.
Yeah, like I'll tell myself i wont do it, but then i do anyway... maybe if i don't dwell on it(like you said solidstate) then i'll keep from doing it. I'll try that from now on... along with staying as far away from the computer as possible when i feel tempted.
Thanks for the encouragement/ bible verses... and that kind of stuff guys.

xxxchurch.com--get X3watch. It helps. Get 2 accountability partners--I use my dad and a friend of mine. Even when the temptation is almost overpowering, the thought of my dad getting wind of me watching porn is enough to overcome it.

Grab this book: "Every Young Man's Battle" Read it. It addresses issues just like what you are going through. It has helped me tremendously. But what has helped me more is having my quiet times and prayer times. The days I haven't had my quiet times are way more difficult then the days that I have and I usually fall to temptation if I haven't met with God that day. Just some of my thoughts... That's a good book. I recommend it too. I haven't fully read it yet, but from what I have read, it's been beneficial to me.

It was indeed a great book. Just keep praying, keep your mind alert. I'll be praying for you.
