Two of my friends and I went to this concert with my bro and his friend, we really only went (me and my friends) to see The Fall of Troy and Showbread, Classic Case wasn't too bad.
Showbread was the highlight of the show for me, they played the first four songs on No Sir, and two songs off the new album. The new album is shaping up to be (as far as I can tell) more mellow, but very dance-y : D I liked the new stuff a lot. I will be buying it on the August 1st release date fo' 'sho. If there's anything bad I can say about their set, it's that Ivory's mic wasn't turned up enough during the first song, and he was making motions the entire time to the sound guys to turn it up, and when they didn't he just tried screaming louder, which didn't end up working, because he was screaming his heart out and no one could hear him. After the song, they got it worked out, thankfully. I felt bad for him : (
Anyway, the guys were great live. They all were very funny and Ivory told us that the Suns had to get their game up so they could lose to the Heat in the finals. I'm sad that the Pistons lost, so I really don't care about the playoffs. (This isn't relevant to the concert in any way, and I'm sorry about that.) In the middle of their set, the woofers started making a buzzing sound and the place seemed to be shaking ever so slightly and Josh was like, "Uh-oh! What's happening! Oh! It looks like a dinosaur!" Then a person in a dinosaur mask with a shirt stuffed with what I'm guessing was newspaper, and they played dramatic music, then Josh pulled out a plastic sword and knocked the dinosaurs head off xD
Overall, it was a great concert, and I only felt like writing about Showbread. We also left before He Is Legend (as did about 1/4 of the people there), as none of us really like He Is Legend. My bro stayed in, so we went to 7/11 and bought a Sunkist (64 oz) and my friend Joon and I finished it, then felt sick.
