I'm trying to get bands together to do a hardcore/metal/post hardcore/indie/etc Christmas CD that I'm going to try to release in November of this year, but I'm starting the search now, so if you're in a decent band and are interested in possibly being on the compilation (just for publicity), post here or email me ( hxchippie@yahoo.com) for all of the details. It will be a non-profit release, as all profits are going to a charity (whatever the bands vote to donate to). Thanks.

It's not Christmas related, but I do a metal version of the old hymn And They'll Know We Are Christians By Our Love

Did you know there's already a CD like that? It's called "A Brutal Christmas: A Season Of Chaos," and has some really, really good bands on it, such as Frost Like Ashes. ;D
I think Blastbeats (www.blastbeats.com) has it. Very good stuff. God bless! ~EvadingShadows

It seems like I've heard of that CD before. I just had forgotten it. Thanks for the reminder!

No problem. It's an interesting concept. Oh, and if you want a great place for music news and info, go to www.christianpunks.com and check out the hardcore and metal/goth/industrial boards. The members are music geniuses. They know just about everything about hxc and metal. Raven, especially, knows his stuff. God bless! ~EvadingShadows

yeah, I knew about a brutal christmas. My band had even applied for A Brutal Christmas II, but the label went under. That's why I'm trying to continue the tradition. Plus, this way you get more local bands and a more diverse sound.

November of 2005? If so, I'll try to put something together with my band.

Yeah, If I do this I'd need songs by at least October, in case pressing takes too long. I need to start hassling bands that said they'd do it, and make sure they're all still up for it. I've kinda put this to the side right now, since I'm trying to get my band's demo out by May. It's been my goal for a long time.

I really need to start working on organizing this again. I have enough free time right now. No $, though.
