Dude, my dad just called and told me that my cousin Gary (from somewhere outside Atlanta), his band has made it to the Southeastern Battle of the Bands semi-finals! If they win one more round, they'll go to Chicago for the finals!
Please keep them all in your prayers, Gary had some problems in the past that got so serious he had to be placed in a methadone clinic, but those problems have cleared up and he's going to be graduating from college this summer. I'm so ecstatic to hear about this, you have no idea what it would mean for him and our family to see Gary and the guys do well and succeed. They really do deserve this.

You never told me that you had a cousin in a band. I am very happy for them, I will pray for them.

We heard them at Uncle Richard's house for some random family get together. I think it was like..Christmas or something.
Alan--I could've sworn I told you about Gary, remember, he's the cousin who had to be sent to rehab not too too long ago, like, two summers ago. Like I said, he seems to have gotten his life back on track, I just hope he doesn't slide back into that lifestyle.
But yeah, they're band is really good. I'm working on getting a demo out of my Aunt Nita, but she can be kind of tempermental sometimes. If I can get Gary's email address I'm gonna ask him about it.
