This is a strange little verse called "Baal Dethroned." Pagan gods of older days Mass their armies to attack Along the paths and ghostly ways Their banners and swords flash black To ravage the land of the chosen ones They issue from Sodom’s gate The innocent blood will run Spilled by hands that know only hate
His arm is Strength, His wrath unquenched Dark gods crushed and perish where they lie Saboath storms forth with mighty fists clenched His anger roused; one thousand die
Behold the end of all things! They worshipped worthless gods of stone The gods accepted the blood and bone Temple prostitutes performed unclean rites Virgins slain on the holy nights To appease the gods the firstborn die Music and chants drown child’s cry Moloch demands pain and fire The Tophet eases his murderous desire The people oppressed bow down in fear No god comes forth to soothe the tears Yet a few remember Saboath of old They fear no death; the faithful are bold Behold the end of all things!
Saboath will endure this horror no longer The gods are strong, yet He is stronger He stirs in wrath to vanquish and slay His angels draw nigh, the demons dismay
The weeping is soothed by His holy voice The gods are destroyed, the mourners rejoice The arrogant heart of Chemosh impaled In splinters lies the Throne of Baal
I wrote this not too long ago. It's kind of like a psalm of war.

amazing. i see your trying to get out of the straight rhyming thing (am i right?). anyways, it really is a nice piece. that thing is so packed with allusions that i myself have a hard time following it though Virgins slain on the holy nights i personally would say Virgins slain on unholy nights, but what do i know

Behold the end of all things! the end of all things just beginning!!! The weak are marching on, with one objective! ...I liked it a lot, I was just reading it like a BTA song and that part just reminded of "One Man Parade," lol. Keep writing stuff!!! or else!!!

man, this is awesome stuff. that's the way metal needs to be. kick butt lyrics. if u can fit kick butt music in with that, good job. many bands need to focus less on music and more on lyrics. my friends would rather have hardcore/bloody/still christian lyrics instead of just straightforward awesome christian lyrics, so it makes it hard on me. any suggestions on how to incorporate "hardcore" into good christian lyrics?

my friends would rather have hardcore/bloody/still christian lyrics instead of just straightforward awesome christian lyrics, so it makes it hard on me. any suggestions on how to incorporate "hardcore" into good christian lyrics? First of all, thank you. Second of all, I suggest you begin with a theme. In this song it is Sabaoth (or Yahweh, for they are one,) defeating evil gods for the sake of his people. Thirdly, it doesn't have to rhyme if it's metal/hardcore, because... it just doesn't. You can do it if you like, but rhyming is harder and can sometimes take the power out of a song. Next, just let the words come. I personally believe in Muses and if you let them work for the glory of Yahweh some very beautiful things will happen. Write what your heart is telling you to. Also, just make sure that what your writing would sound very awesome being screamed at the top of your voice. I guarantee you will be pleased with the results. You're not a bad poet yourself and I expect great things in the future for you.
