Is it just me, or does Lady Muse visit at the most awkward of times.
For me, she comes at the times between 1:30 - 2:00 AM! I don't know why, but if I stay on the computer, music grabs a hold of me and I write quite a bit.. a poem or two. In one month, I have I think about 13 poems.. which is not like me. I never used to write..
Plus, amazing songs like the one I'm listening to now, help the inspiration. The song is "A Poet's Tears Of Porcelain" by Virgin Black.
But getting back on topic, when does she visit you guys?

Usually at awkward times when I don't have any paper or pencil.

I know, I write better when I'm at a computer, than if I have a pen and paper.. no clue why!

It's kind of odd when she comes though.. I have had a block in the poetry department for 2 weeks now, and have been sent to writing stuff for English..

It's kind of strange when I get inspiration. Usually, it comes when I'm in the shower, or really late at night. Sometimes I'll wake up at 3 in the morning and I have to write down what I'm thinking or I will lose it forever... I hate it when that happens. I write books, so usually when Lady Muse pays her visits, it involves me writing for two hours or more solid. That's not exactly good when I wake up at 3, because usually by the time I'm done writing it's time to go to school. Just last night I wrote a song in about fifteen minutes, I still need to work on the music for it but the lyrics are already done. I always function better during the night than during the day, I have no idea why. EDIT: By the way, cool thread idea

And I am the same as you, one of the best drawings I've ever done was at 2 o'clock in the morning. I write at about 3 o'clock and I can't stop otherwise I get really upset if I don't. Inspiration comes and goes for sure! Half the poems I wrote on the "Poem Book of Poems" thread were from 3 am, and it took me about 15-20 mins to write them. Night is definitely my time to be creative.. I usually sleep most of the day on weekends, and stay up into the wee hours of the morning.

Is there a problem in my waking hours?
I do love the night, I must admit, and I despise having to wake up early for school. It enrages me when my alarm goes off early, and I end up slamming the snooze button about 3 times.
Might I add, that Lady Muse does visit at strange hours, and when I'm very inspired, I refuse to sleep until it dies down.
