As a general rule, never call in and say that you're sick - say you've got to go to a funeral. It works much better, and they are much less suspicious! ;D

It works much better, and they are much less suspicious! ;D depends how often you're off "sick". i've had two and a half days off sickin the last three years, and one and a half was because the area manager sent me home.

i've been off "sick" for one day. although i've only been working there 10 months, that record is a lot better than most people, given everyone else regularly has hangovers.

i remember last summer going into work hungover (budweiser is crap), and by the end of the morning wanting to kill one of my full-timers.
fortunately, the other staff member in that day was a lot less annoying.
