I was wondering if anyone here had any interesting stories from gigs that they played. CountSeth and I used to be in a band together and I can remember all sorts of intersting stories from The Penny U in Gainesville, GA...so if you got anything funny, amazing, or wacky go ahead and tell us about it. One of my favorites is from my first show...ever. We were covering Extol's "Celestial Completion" and for those of you that haven't heard it there's a violin solo in the middle. We didn't have a violin player so our vocalist played the part on a keyboard. When he was done, he attempted to jump over the keyboard and off the stage into the crowd. What he succesfully did however, was knock over the keyboard and almost fall flat on his face. Quite an intersting way to start a band's "career"... By the way Seth, this is Jeremy check my profile for my e-mail address and what not...

Jeremy, you rule!! I didn't read this till just now. Shaun creaming the keyboard was way too funny to actually happen live. I almost lost watching the video for it.

Hahaha that's awesome!
I remember once, me and Jennifer were at the Shma show when a band called Zeteo played (awesome guys btw). The bass player, Joe, is one of those really active guys on stage and when he was thrashing around, his bass came unplugged from his amp....so he looked at me and Jennifer (we were sitting in front of him on the stage cause it was the only safe spot haha), shrugged, jumped off the stage and ran around the room.
Nothing as funny as what Jeremy (can I call you that?) told us. But his story reminded me of that one.

Twice I've been to concerts where a roadie was to toss a guitar to someone on stage and both times dropped it. Cinderella(twice in one show) and Faster Pussycat. Absolutely hilarious!

Hahahaha hopefully it didn't damage the guitar. Maybe the guitarist's sense of pride, but hopefully not the guitar hahaha

well, i have a couple about Adam D, one of the guitar players from Killswitch Engage. One of the times i saw them, he was running around stage and he decided to run up and jump on the monitor and look out above the crowd. but then, one of his feet slipped off the monitor and he fell off the stage. oh man, that was awesome.
another time they played around here, but i couldnt make it, so my friend told me this story: Adam was supposed to play the cowbell in one of the songs, and his roadie threw it at him but Adam apparently didnt see it coming and it hit him. so he picked it up and threw it back at his roadie. then his roadie (jokingly) ran at him as if he was going to tackle Adam. but Adam kicked him in the stomach, and the roadie fell down the stairs leading up to the stage and broke his shoulder, and an ambulance had to come get him.
I saw As I Lay Dying, and All That Remains was the opening band, and this guy was standing close to the stage and flipping them off the whole time. he didnt move, didnt do anything but hold up his middle finger. so, eventually a security guard dragged him outside, and while he was being kicked out, almost every single person at the show started clapping and cheering.

i was once at a serafina show (AWESOME metal, and even better guys), and the guitarist creamed the piano bench. (this stage had an old piano, and otherstuff lining the side and back of teh stage... another thing being an old minivan seat) Joel, this same guitarist, got tired during a show, and played, while sitting on this seat...

My house is full of crap...no one can stay, but there is still an invitation, haha. One of my favortie concert moments was getting hit in the head with a bass guitar. I was watching this one band which had this crazy bassist, and I was a little too close to the stage (sitting on the stage). I decided to move back when the next band was gonna play, and then WHAM!...he hit my head. I was kinda surprised that no one really cared, maybe because I just ran into the mosh pit like a wandering idiot.
