I could give some painfully obvious examples about dates on milk-jugs, but the best example comes around and bites its own tail. How far could an intellectual go without his personal faith in reason and logic?

In Feverstone's case, dtf means doomed to failure, instead of it's usual meaning "down to f**k"
Expiration dates are only estimates.

You could have said "A: Platypus" and you would have rendered the same expression on my face.

We cannot definitively know what happens after death, agreed. However, I've never been given advice that has worked out in a negative manner by the Bible. I know that this isn't a reason to believe in it blindly, but it's certainly a fact that comforts me- following the Bible has never done anything worse for me than teasing for my faith (and the bullying would have happened anyway, because I would still have been different to others). That said, I understand that many who would believe in life after death do it to give their life a purpose. I think this is entirely misguided, as while death can be a noble thing it's not good to focus one's life on the ending of that life.
I don't know where I was going with that post. But hey, there's probably plenty to argue with.

Everything is an argument. Only facts cannot be argued.

First, NAME the fallacies you see. He did, you put the burden of proof with him, while you're the one who's supposed to be proving something here. Never payed much attention in your English class in high school? (I'm assuming they teach argumentation in your English class, as I get it in my Dutch class) As for life after death, I do think experiences of people being revived and then having had some fancy experience is very intresting, but with this one, I agree I'm just trusting in God (trusting in God = faith).

I was referring to his comment "fallacies everywhere." As if there was more than the ONE he mentioned. Plurals are a part of English as well.

EVERY THREAD ENDS THE SAME NO POINT EVER
FAITH = BELIEF WITHOUT LOGICAL EVIDENCE
LOGIC = FACTUAL REASON FOR BELIEF
INCOMPATIBLE, IRRECONCILABLE, AND INCONCEIVABLY INDIFFERENT TO EACH OTHER. THEY ARE INDEPENDENT THOUGHT PROCESSES OF EACH OTHER, TWO COMPLETELY SEPARATE OPTIONS IN THE "A" OR "B" MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST THAT IS LIFE. THERE IS NO POINT IN ARGUING, NO POINT IN DEBATING, AND NO POINT IN TRYING TO CONVINCE ONE ANOTHER OF THE IRREFUTABLE PURPOSE IN ADOPTING ONE OR THE OTHER AS THEIR PERSONAL WAY OF DEDUCTION OF WHAT IS TRUE.
THEREFORE, I NOW GRACIOUSLY EXTEND TO EVERYONE IN THIS ENTIRE SECTION OF THE FORUM, BEFORE, NOW, AND AFTER, A WARM AND HEARTY
SHUT THE f**k UP.
