Yeah I'm curious what it would look like had everyone's favorite wiccan not been involved, but I rather like it - much more than the artwork for "Dichotomy" anyways. The ships seem a little silly but overall I think it's pretty cool. A shirt with just the phoenix-fella and BTA's logo would look pretty sharp me thinks.

artwork's leaked, it's on metal injection. i'm sure it would have been better if Seagrave had been left to do his own thing, i'm not a fan of most of Ryan Clark's work. First Seagrave piece i've seen for ages that my first reaction hasn't been "that's freaking awesome" For the record, Ryan had no more part in this than he did in the Terminate Damnation painting. I told Ryan the idea, he forwarded it to Seagrave and then he painted what he saw in his mind. All of our records have been that way except of course that I told Ryan the idea for TPOF and he made it himself. =) I aint mad atcha. Just don't blame Ryan if you dont like it. Blame Seagrave for shooting out of his usual box. But personally, I like this MORE than most of Seagrave's stuff. The reason is that it is totally unique in his portfolio. Bright colors, big central figure, different style than most of his stuff etc. This piece is not about how "technical" he can paint. Most of his stuff is all the way tricked out like that. This is a lot more...raw and thematic. The cool thing about that is that it really suits the direction of the album. Experimental, raw, thematic, colorful, unpredictable. You wont have to listen through each song 100 times to grasp all that is going on. It is more up front and in your face. The same is true with this painting. There arent a billion details to discover. It is just...BOOM. And there it is. =)

Also...this painting directly relates to a consistent theme on the album. Particularly if you read the lyrics to the 3 part "Requiem Aeternam". ;D

I'm pretty sure everyone would have said only positive things about it had Ryan Clark's name not been mentioned. I don't know why it's gotten "cool" to hate on Demon Hunter and their members, but whatever.

This artwork is so awesome.
I think its better than all the other art work so far, other than Dichotomy.
I'd love to have that on a shirt/hoodie

I don't think anyone's "hating on" Ryan Clark or Demon Hunter... Davo just said he's typically not a fan of his work and my wiccan comment was supposed to just be a joke. I've never listened to DH nor do I really know anything about Mr. Clark so no judgement is going on there either... The way it was stated, it sounded like Ryan had a larger part in the concept/design, that's all.

I wasn't pointing that towards you, and honestly, I've been exactly what I was talking about the last few years.
I've just recently begun to realize how fruitless and harmful negativity can be, and just wanted to make a statement about how Demon Hunter has become somewhat of a target for that.
Also, I was pretty proud of that Ryan Clark picture.

Which Ryan Clark picture are you talking about? There does seem to be a fair bit of negativity towards DH but I think most of that stems from the old DH boards that so many of the folks here used to be on. And that's completely reflective of the board members, not necessarily the band. But I think regardless it spills over onto the band. I wasn't a part of those boards but I guess it got pretty out of control there.
